    Hi Kabise,

I'm not seeing these problems here - If 6.0.1a build doesn't exhibit these problems, then it's going to be related to the CEC updates and/or the new backported drivers. Have you tried disabling the hdmi-cec functions (under my addons, the wetek hdmi addon can enable/disable it fully). Do you have an avr device connected? Do you have any usb devices (apart from storage) attached to the device? Are you using a 4k capable TV? (I have no way of testing any of these at the moment Is your device a genuine MX3-G/Tronsmart MX3+? (There appear to be a lot of devices cropping up with almost identical specs, but have a few incompatibilities unfortunately)

    Hi Bigredfan,

Are you running ethernet based? As this problem was really bad with my b & c builds, but is definitely fixed in 6.0.1d

    Hi burimek,

Your box certainly appears to be the same, however, the brand is different, & the advert claims it's running android 4.4.4? (haven't seen kitkit roms > 4.4.2 for these boxes - Are you able to install the tronsmart MX3+ L106 rom on it? (All my builds < 6.0.1x actually install the tronsmart L106 bootloader as a part of the install process).

My recommendation is to install the manufacturer's original rom, & then try to "toothpick" install *only* my 6.0.1+ builds (as they no longer overwrite the original bootloader) - If this fails, then it really only leaves a problem with my poweroff patches being incompatible with your device (maybe that's why kerber's build's *don't* include poweroff - to maximise device compatibility?)

    Howdy Folks,

Sorry build "6.0.1b & c" had major network regressions, they have been removed. Build "6.0.1d" is probably the best build yet - Have had a major round of "whack a mole" trying to get the 3 core components behaving (Wifi, Ethernet, Video), but I believe I've hit the right balance.

Backports have been incorporated in this build, with no noticable regressions (yet!)

I've been tweaking my OE7 devel build (kodi 16rc is looking good, very smooth thus far - I have just a couple more minor fixes to incorporate before I release it!

    Cheers!

    Hi burimek

    have you tried edited factory_update_param.aml
when you update and add the last 3 lines here

    --update_package = / sdcard / OpenELEC-MX3G.arm-6.0.0.2f.zip
    --wipe_data
    --wipe_cache
    --wipe_media

so the box is reset and as good as new...

Not sure what could be causing this - My early builds are based off kerber's build tree, & apart from adding power off support + a few tweaks to kodi, are pretty much the same. I can only assume some sort of compatibility problem with your equipment/setup. My test environment for these builds is mentioned in post #1 of this thread, I am unable to replicate this problem with my setup, so I need more information about your setup - Preferably isolating it down to which equipment introduces the screen blanking problem...

The ram reported by kodi is the memory available for system use minus the memory reserved for the hardware's display/decoding engines. ~1.5G is pretty normal once you deduct the memory required for the decoding/displaying up to 4k resolutions

    Howdy All,

Another release (6.0.1b) which includes most of kszaq's updates, backports, & a patch that may help those using hdmi avr devices.

My testing still shows a number of regressions with the media tree backports (I've patched a couple of them, but am unable to really test it myself, as I don't have any of the devices it affects - The overall performance of my build is better without the backports patch.
More testing of the scheduler's has shown that the "conservative" scheduler is more stable than the ondemand one (esp. when running off sdcard) - A bit of laggyness in navigation is a small price to pay for the overall stability, so the default has been left as is.

    Hello silicon,

The bluetooth issue is a known problem with the new kernel being used, & will hopefully be resolved soon. Running from SDCard will always be a bit slower than running from internal storage - My suggestion is to use the fastest sd card possible.
The file you linked to contains the patches necessary to build kszaq 's system to run on the MX3G (he doesn't support this device with his builds) The differences/advantages to my build are mentioned in post #1 of this thread - My build tries to incorporate the stable/best parts from all OE/kodi sources to provide a solid working solution for this device. I originally built kszaq (for dual boot) & kerber (extra system tools/addons) based systems to ensure that my own builds don't regress going forward. I recommend people try various builds to find what works best with their setup - In my use/test case (mentioned in post #1), my own build meets those needs best

I've had a few shots with git & my builds, but as I'm jumping through quite a few different OE branches, I'm finding it a bit cumbersome to manage (I'll get use to it) - I have uploaded what's needed to build kszaq latest build for the MX3G however, so feel free to give that a shot:

    http://5.189.137.29/Openelec/MX3G/ks....0.1.1.tar.bz2

(It appears that most of my earlier work is obsoleted with this new kernel - There was a lot functions included in kerber's original kernel that are broken in this new one, so I'll only re-introduce them if they provide any benefit stability wise

Hi wilro, I will checkout kszaq 6.0.1.1 branch, integrate your modifications and try to build it. Thanks mate!!
