Must have been a bad transfer. I transferred the original files and updated them through SSH. Now XMB loads. It doesn't look the video below, but I figure I need to play w/ the config file.

      Way to go!

I use the "Retroactive" XMB theme with menu animation. If you use the CEC daemon that Kszaq released you can launch and play games using your TV's CEC remote....Then just exit retroarch and you are back to Kodi.

Any idea why I'm missing icons in XMB? They are just black boxes in whatever theme that I choose. Not the ROMs, but the standard XMB icons.

You need the updated Assets.zip file found here :

extract it, make sure your retroarch.cfg is pointing to the correct locations, and then you will see all of the icons available...If your theme does not contain all of the icons you can "steal" them from another theme via copy\paste.

Great! It works! BTW, do you have shaders working?

I have messed with the shaders but our systems are too slow for them.

Thanks! I feel like I'm so close. I can select a single game, but when I scan my ROM directories, I don't get any console tabs.

It sounds like you are missing your database reference files for scanning :

                  download and extract : database-rdb.zip

Then make sure your cfg file is pointing to the database files before you start a scan

I'm trying to get my VR project off the ground.

If anyone can help it would be hugely appreciated!

                                Latest version from here :

We use the Odroid C1 version...I just pull out the bin from that release.
