balbes150 : any idea why the second usb port isn't usable (on the side of the box) ?

        setenv mbpp "24"

        setenv bootargs ........... m_bpp=${mbpp}
        Must be a single variable.

Try it in a script to specify

        fatload usb 1 ........

This is just a guess. That would tell for sure - you need to connect the UART and see what is happening there.
Maybe your device does not have time to recognize the second USB port.

It seems Mali X11 is approching !
On odroid forums, they managed to get something working. They still need few weeks to solve remaining issues !

                  ... cool!
By the way: what is the recipe to make an amlogic box boot from external sdcard (or usbstick)?
I am maintaining a gentoo in a chroot on an usbstick, hoping, one day to boot something 100% natively built on the box itself.

                      Bug report:

Firefox is starting with v1. I've checked a youtube video with HD, it's crashing the whole window manager (X server) with a 1080P video.
I tried rhythmbox to playback an audio CD and then i had a problem with the window manager (Mate), Caja process is eating 100% cpu, so as Xorg process.
The bug is described here: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=145959

I tried Kodi (v16 rc pre-installed) and i tried to index a whole HDD with movies and after some time, it's just freeze. You can ping the mini Mx but you can enter any command
on the shell because it's totally frozen. I've tried 2 times and same things after some movies indexing (it starts to index and list some new movies before it starts bugging).

When i exit from Kodi, i have a black screen and i cant do anything except killing the X server and restart it from SSH.
I had the process called "yep" that took 100% of CPU.

Some random crash of the X server with return to the text interface.
@ Koxx, did you see my bug report?

yes, but sorry, I can't solve those issues.
All I can do is configure the hardware boot and drivers.
For apps, it depends if they have been fully ported for arm/arm64.
Also, we are still waiting for the X11 drivers.

Ok, thank you Koxx. No problem. I had a more problematic issue those days. The system becomes laggy, you have a 100% cpu issue like this:
                          Code:
                          top - 09:08:37 up 1 day, 23:07, 1 user, load average: 19,16, 18,22, 16,50
                          Tasks: 168 total, 5 running, 153 sleeping, 0 stopped, 10 zombie
                          %Cpu(s): 0,1 us, 27,2 sy, 0,0 ni, 3,5 id, 69,2 wa, 0,0 hi, 0,0 si, 0,0 st
                          KiB Mem : 796912 total, 53332 free, 690648 used, 52932 buff/cache
KiB Swap: 0 total, 0 free, 0 used. 57556 avail Mem

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
                             38 root 20 0 0 0 0 R 100,0 0,0 925:56.67 kswapd0

                          root@odroid64:~/perso# free -m
total used free shared buff/cache available
                          Mem: 778 674 51 19 52 55
                          Swap: 0 0 0
I guess to has to do with the swap or the lack of swap.
Uptime reports a very high load (anormal), when idle and you cant use the command line (it takes 20s to display one letter).
                          Any idea?

You have a computer with Linux ?Connect the card to the computer. Using gparted, reduce the last partition. On the resulting empty space, create a swap partition on the card. Add to fstab on the map a line to mount the swap.
