I understand correctly, this is the UART connector ? What it the sequence of contacts VCC Rx Tx GRN ?

Understood. Hooked up the console. Labeling was under the sticker.

I had to just look at the next picture in this topic.

Uploaded the not much modified file remote.conf . Work with him the main buttons of the native remote control. This file should be placed in a storage directory/config. You can use SAMBA.

so this works good other than the remote?
Three days of testing can save 10 minutes reading manuals

Update: The IR remote works well. So too does Eth and WiFi. Other than internal Bluetooth not working, OpenELEC is working very well on the i7. balbes150 has made this easy to try since it boots and runs from an SD card or USB flash drive/card reader. Class10 SD card or better recommended. That being said, I have seen it run successfully from an old Class4.....I was curious.

Linux too, but that's another conversation.

                  Many thanks to balbes150.

BT Connects using dongle. No audio unable to change setting-system-audio output device. Default (aml-m8audio Analog)

                      Video output:
Resolution change to 1920 x 1080i or p many small images on screen can’t see image messy (wrong refresh rate)?

Further to the Video Output resolution,
Appears i7 was stuck in a 1280x720 mode, OE could not force the change to 1920 x 1080, and when it did was a mess
Running up Android then back out to OE I can now use 1920 x 1080.

Was also testing a version of Linux/debian, runs in a low res mode and may have contributed to this phenomena.
Well that's my excuse and sticking to it (for now)

Perhaps this is the result of the video avtofreyma. With the audio output through pulseaudio - I understand. This is the result of incorporating the latest patches from the main GIT Openelec.

Yes plenty of variables to add to the confusing.
By going to Android and forcing 1080@50hz OE now defaults that setting and can be altered easily.

May I know? What's the OpenELEC version you are working for Spot i7?
