    Heat problem?

    Thanks.
Well, I just purchased one of these earlier today and am a bit concerned by these comments about nand problems and possible heat issues. I hope I get a good unit. Where would one purchase heat sinks for these and how much would they be? Are you talking internal or possibly just an external "metal box" to pull heat away? Also if anyone is successful with formatting via cwm, could you give some detailed instructions on what to do for that? Just preparing myself to deal with it when it arrives.

hello.. first u need to flash finless rom.. http://www.freak-tab.de/finless/cx919_422_finless14.zip if u download finless rom u will have detailed instructions in the zip.. and after that u can flash cwm recovery if u want .. instructions are here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-ROM-1-4/page4 and after that if u get the problem with blank internal flash, go in to recovery and format sdcard.. apperently that seems to be working for my mini pc..

I did'nt mean to create a panic about overheating - I would wait until the Engineer(s) have had more time to investigate the problem. Also it should be noted that although the error message is 'Blank Internal Flash...' after a reboot all is OK again - implying to me that the Flash is not blank but the operating system thinks it is.

Thanks phozac and the rest of the guys

Thanks phozac and the rest of the guys for testing different work-arounds If the formatting sd card seem to be working, i would think its more of a software problem than a problem with the stick.

@ kbuster - I am sailing in the same boat as you. Ordered mine a couple of weeks back and waiting for it to arrive. Hope there are no major issues by the time i receive mine

              format question

Firstly, thanks for the quick responses to my concerns. Also, I had read this thread http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ll-of-a-sudden where finless suggests a "reflash" to someone having BT issues. I'm wondering if this might work in lieu of a format which I assume wipes nand. Maybe, if finless develops a new rom, some of the current issues will be addressed. I'm hoping they are not hardware based as we'll be stuck with those.

Thanks phozac for sharing the cwm recovery method. I already formatted the sdcard as per instruction above. Will let it run and see whether the problem is gone. Thanks again for all those member who sharing their thought too!!

Flashed to Finless 4.1.1 ROM and ran for few days. I don't see the Nand storage missing so far. I think I will just stick with the 4.1.1.

Saw a new post from geekbuying saying that there is a new stock firmware released. Not sure will it fix this problem too. http://www.FreakTab.com/showthread.php?p=78954

I have no problem with the wifi connection on CX 919. Saw this Ethernet adapter is actually listed as additional item for bundle purchase with the CX 919. Maybe this one for sure will work with CX 919? Just check it out.. http://www.geekbuying.com/item/High-...et-314264.html
