S905X wifi issues

Maybe same cheap tape like tanix. I ported a external antenna on mine worked fine after that.

Scooter - do you maybe have a pic showing where you connected the external antenna to the board?

The T95X unfortunately for you is just a really bad box. For me I found that physically flipping the box bottoms up gets you better wifi signal which upon looking closer I found it was a design issue, the internals of the box are most likely flipped upside down. (even though the ports are technically made the right way) Give it a try and let me know the results just so I can confirm it wasn't just with me, good luck!

Sorry for the delay.... Tried flipping the box and still no improvements... It just so weird. At first connection to my WiFi I get great speeds. 5 min later I'll have 3 Mbps tools. I don't think its an antenna issue nor an issue with my WiFi.. Using my tablet right now and I maintain the same connection speeds all day.

Hi Scooter. I think i may have found something to get to the bottom of the wifi issue. Hopefully you are still interested in helping me.. Here goes. When recieve the T95X it comes with Firmware Build Number T5X10002. When you update it you to to T5X1004. However, i have noticed that with the 10002 firmware the wifi signal is great, almost amazing, if you know what i mean. BUT as soon as you update the firmware to 10004 we imeadiatly take a nice hit on the wifi speed, NOT connection.... Hopefully you have some ideas for me.

@dutchmaster18 - While looking for a firrmware update saw this post and have same issue.

I have 2 boxes, a tanix tx5 pro and a sunvell T95X - both have S905X chip.

I have a Cisco 1131AG access point.

Sunvill - no issues - connects 54Mbps and never changes - signal strength always excellent after hrs of use.

Tanix TX5 Pro - boots up and connects at 54Mbps signal strength excellent, not long after using, start getting audio/buffering issues. check wifi and its drops down to 11Mbps but signal strength always excellent. Even just watching a youtube video it drops and fails on HD videos.

Tested with my old netgear ADSL router, Tanix TX5 Pro doesn't have this issue, connects at 54Mbps and stays there, never drops.

I've change my config on my Cisco access point to only offer 48 & 54Mbps and the Tanix TX5 pro always starts off at 54Mbps but always finds it way back to 48Mbps but can never go any lower.

I even thought maybe interference on the 2.4G freq, the Cisco AP can scan to see what is in use around you but it wasn't. Tried 5G freq, tanix tx5 pro keep dropping until it failed, no one near me using the 5G freq range.

Suspect more firmware issue, hence why looking for an update.

T5X10005 Update has finally ally fixed all WiFi issues... I noticed this when I ordered more boxes. So the problem has been addressed I just wish I knew what it was.

I cant download this OTA. My t95x saying no update or already up to date. Where did you get this update dutchmaster ? Is it available for download somewhere ?

I know.. In stuck there... I wish I knew how to extract the firmware I would post it...
I can't update either. So I have 3 on ...04 ansandboxes on ...05. If anyone knows how to extract it in all ears.

dutch what is the p212 date for this......05 build ? you can find it in build prop.
maybe update is hiding online under this number
