    Hi bluesmanuk

    Thanks for your work.

Can you tell me please if yours modded firmware to Dolamee D5 works on Nexsmart D32?

And if you have the stock Rom For Nexsmart D32? (Is just to keep for if something going wrong)

    Thanks

Yes it would work, although the stock that comes with the D32 is good.

I have managed to create a modded firmware for the D32 based on stock but has an issue when flashed whereby the normal process of formatting data and cache does not work automatically, so you have to boot into recovery manually to carry out a wipe.

No stock firmware for the D32 has yet been released but I have been able to dump the partitions in order to have some form or backup.

And of course the new TWRP recovery, kindly created by FollowMSI also gives an option to create a full backup.

          Follow this thread.

          http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...ices-followmsi

You just rename the downloaded image to recovery.img and flash it using the Android tool (2.3 or 2.5)

I received answer from admin (tvboxforum) about his statement: "I suggest do not update the firmware if your box runs well.":

"Just a suggestion. There were the occasions they updated the firmware and the box ran not so well as before."

Here is the instruction of RK box update
                            https://mega.nz/#!VkQiAJxb!NpST_X7JdEcMA...wlLtRRvnVE

I question him about the method to update and the link is the tools. I don't know if is the tools that you used bluesmanuk .

Yes I am very familiar with all the tools that can be used to flash images.

Having spent some time using the updated firmware, at the moment I would recommend staying with the stock that comes with the box because there are a number of audio issues.

I am however trying to improve it and may (fingers crossed) have auto adjust frame rate working so in a couple of days, if everything pans out, issue a debloated and improved version.
