I just have one question. I have problem connecting to my second router which I did not encounter with v1.9. I would just like to know what was changed in v1.9 and is there a way to implement the same tweak to v1.7?

Try flashing the 1.9 kernel with the 1.7 ROM and see if that helps.

Thank you for your reply. So I just use the 1.9 kernel and use the parameter, misc, boot, recovery, and system of 1.7?

I am having problems with windows switching on 1.9, I can't switch to other windows. I already tried the workaround for that by activating multi-windows but the multi-window overlay keeps popping up even if I disable the overlay. And also, 1.9 seems to be a bit laggy on my machine.

Yes, in the 1.7 ROM...just rename kernel.img to something else. Then copy the kernel.img over from the 1.9 ROM kit.

Uncheck everything except kernel.img in the flash tool, and just flash the kernel. That way, you won't have to start completely over reinstalling your apps.

No...if you erase IDB, you will need to flash the whole ROM again.

That is just a way to change kernels without flashing the while system.

You can try the kernel from 1.8 or 1.9 this way.

Otherwise, if they don't work, you just need to flash the 1.7 kernel again.

I just performed a full reflash (eraseIDB) and flashed with 1.7 ROM but with 1.9 kernel. Still having the same issue. Do you think the cause is WPS of the router?

That might be the problem. I haven't had any wifi issues with mine, and I have run all versions of my ROMs.

Not all network units play equally nice. I have 2 routers myself - and no matter authentication setup, The m8pro will only play nice with one of them. All other units in the household, works decently with both. I've tried pretty much anything I could think of in regards to settings, roms on the tablet and firmware on router side. Connection is still crap and unstable on my primary Thomson router, but perfect on my secondary, el cheapo china N router.

I had a bad flash when flashing my Pipo m6 ((, basically it was in the process of flashing with the finless rom flash tool, it was downloading the rom and get to about half way through the flash and it said flash incomplete, or download incomplete, or words to that effect. So i though ok, dont panic, there is a section in the read me that tells you what to do if things go wrong, So i followed that procedure, I plugged in the USB cable to the tablet and the pc. Then held escape for 5 seconds , then depressed the reset key with a paperclip for 5 seconds, then held the power key but no matter how many times Ive tried it the flash tool dosnt recognize the tablet as a loader device, as the instructions say it should, The tablet just boots to the Riley Rom start up screen , then reboots to recovery, someone pls pls help !! (

Make sure you are using a USB 2.0 port...not 3.0.

On my m8 pro, I hold the esc key, press and hold reset, and hold the power button to get into flash mode.
