Ebox r99 firmware is compatible with gearbest r99 ? anybody tested it ?

If the gearbest r99 is the same as page 1 then yes it is compatible. Ebox firmware Wouldn't keep resolution or ethernet connection for me though. Vorke z3 firmware kept both but when I turned box back on I lost sound & playback froze. Maybe i hadn't fitted resolution to screen properly but I couldn't get it right.

Just seen this on entertainmentbox, it's a few days old. Probably won't fix resolution or ethernet & it's unrooted. downloading now, will report back

So far, Doesn't seem to be top notification or bottom navigation & power off reboots. Think resolution sorted but not ethernet. Hold home button for recent apps

Turns out it is rooted. Also box is at 89°c & I'm hardly doing anything

Using supercelerons yundoo y8 7.1.2 for now, it's probably the best. Had to use Factory tool. Using cooling fan & a T95Z remote for in & out of sleep (can't turn off).

Is this on the r99 box? I have the r99 box with the original firmware. Been looking update this box since March of 2017

it is , i think exactly the same Box as this one here , only stupid that RK3399 until now is not really good

supported , always AML S912 ... and others , hope this will change , i dont want to buy a S912 Box .

Still wait for Ugoos UT5Pro , but i think a Box like this is good enough for my needs , if Rom supported .

hi

i made a terrible mistake and bought this box.
now i have problems with audio hdmi passthrough. I can only get stereo or just noise with some files. No 5.1 or hd audio passthrough.
many video files will not play at all.

I have set the audio output to hdmi beatstream, and enable passthrough in kodi settings.

i have tried kodi, spmc, rkmc, and the local player and the results where the same: only stereo and noise from hdmi,
i am still on android 6. there is a firmware from e box with android 7, but i read that it does not fix anything.

is there hope for this box? or i should be looking to buy a s912 device?

(any advice for a box with good hd audio passthrough will be welcome)
