Where did you buy it from?

Yes, do reply on that. Also does it have av out by any chance?

Also, i have ordered a CS968 player, and waiting for it. According to many that have bought it, XBMC plays flawlessly and the vids load perfectly. I can't understand why some people report differently and if there are no real users that complain or there are no real users that make good comments

ATV580 from mygica seems very nice yes, but when you can find it?

I am not sure what to do with my Rk3188 device, but I have found an interesting looking replacement...

Mad Catz is the legendary brand for gaming peripherals and accessories, including mice, keyboards, headsets, controllers and mouse pads.

Not available until December though, and it is about twice the cost of an x7... but the specs are amazing. It looks like the Android platform is finally going to make a serious effort to go mainstream. Don't know if it will be successful or not, but it is certainly going to be interesting.

Keep an eye on the pricing as they go up and down regularly, They were $105 last week. I ordered mine at $99 a month ago. Send an email to Roger Liu and ask for the deal.

There are a lot of different devices out there using this chipset and you can't really judge them just by the chipset.

I seriously doubt it. Take a look at Lewy's Custom Rom for the K-R42. 1080p works perfectly and there haven't been any complaints about it for weeks. The Minix X7 has also perfect 1080p playback by now.[/QUOTE

I have the T-R42. Its great what lewy/finless have done But out of box the T-R42 is poor!
This is completely wrong the Neo X 7 dont play video playback perfectly. If you compare X7 with WD live when you play movies especially 1080p movies, and the WD live gets a score of 100 the x7 cant even get to 40 point to that. Many says its flawless but when you go to details it dont play all the diffrent fps converted videos if you have a 24 fps movie you need to set the damn device to 24Hz video output to get a good result and still the video isnt as crisp as it is on a WD live there has been around for years.

                                Price

What i would assume is the reason rockchip hold off on using branded chips is due to the lowest possible denominator for price in relation to the comparisson money wise in the chip cost,it's built on a very tight budget when it's a china oem product, this is good for rockchip they can gain reputation through time the value rises as they become a more high profile company than they currently are, like amd and intel. The whole idea is they operate on bang for buck,in my k-r42 some fluency in games seems lacking like gta 3 but this is maybe partialy to do with cooling as there is none in theory just a alloy heatsink very small and some dotted holes to allow heat escape on the base,i think if someone where to place a easy diy on cooling all android models they can find and mod this would maybe improve performance, this is because excess heat does thermaly transfer to other components causing more wear and tear than usual slowwing a machine.
What is the world if you don't explore?
