the nullkeyboard doesnt work, iow, the annoying virtual keyboard keeps popping up.

any idea how to disable virtual keyboard without killing the process?

First of all, hi.

I just got my brand new mk802 IV with serial 20130903....

I tried flashing this rom after hearing bunch of good stuff about it.

I used the rktool that was included, and it was no problem.
I changed the kernel to kernel1 before flashing.

I get the problem where the display is not "full screen". I use an older samsung 720p tv.

2nd thing is the youtube app. Can not be updated.

The latest stock fw works ok, but with frame skipping and what not.

I would love to use mk instead of my gen1 wdtvlive, but atm, it can not match the replay quality. On he other side wdtv is pretty limited.

I have ordered a air mouse, and a lan to usb stick. Do i need a powered hub or can i use a unpowered one ? I have a feeling that frame skipping might be related to the buffering via wlan.
And that is a story for itself. When i install wifi analyzer, it shows -75dbm. If i put my sgs3 in the same position behind tv, it shows -50 or better.

I still have a week or so to return it if i dont like it, but i would really like to try to get it working propperly, without having to get down to OC.

which rom did u use?
i flashed mine with v1.3 (1080p) and there was only one kernel included as far as i could see.

anyway,
i use unpowered 4 port usb hub with got a wireles keyboard/trackpad (http://www.cloudsto.com/mk802-access...06-detail.html) and a xbox classic controller on there, no problem.

not sure if this will work without the 2Amp charger... all i know is that it wont boot with the monitor usb port as powersource.. which is prolly just 0.5A

mk802 iv flash ?

I'm new to the Android sticks so I dont understand the changing to kernel 1. The way I did it was to open the RKtool and double click on kernel. It then allowed me to add the 1 behind kernel. I then upgraded and it was black screen time with it. I had to restore the mk802 iv to get it going again. What could I have done wrong to get the black screen after flashing? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

means it was the wrong kernel, or you flashed it wrong.

the kernel1.img file is the file you need to switch out in the batch utility

means it was the wrong kernel, or you flashed it wrong.

see the image below, there are boxes to the right of the kernel.img in Flash Tool.. you must then navigate to the appropriate kernel img file.

it is hard to explain without really showing you in person haha.

you need to use the tool to switch image files out. be sure to uncheck all other boxes also,
