How did you integrate the WIFI SCI 9082. Can show some guidance? I need this mod to my S912 box

I have it working with a M9C Max S905X Box with the S9082X Wifi chip set, It wasn't that hard first thing is you need the 9082xs.ko and a compatible libhardware_legacy.so
, I pulled the one I am using from the TX8-TANIX-20170815 Beta and put them in place with MiXplorer it sets the permissions when you copy these 2 files to the /system/lib/ directory.

After you reboot wifi should be working.

I have been working with this Rom for a Few days, I have it working on a Nexbox A95X Pro 2gb/16gb q9377 and my Old KM8 the only part not working so far is Bluetooth.

The A95X was pretty easy all that had to be done to get wifi working was to rename /system/etc/wifi/firmware to /system/etc/wifi/qca9377 and on the Next Boot Wifi was working.

The KM8 I renamed and replaced the 6335 with the 4335 drivers and wifi is working but Bluetooth is still an issue.

How did u install it on the A95x? USB burning tool stops at 2% for me....

I am taking it that you have the Pro Version?

What was the error given?

With mine it was all to do with the Sequence first you start the Burn Tool then toothpick the player then plugin the usb cord now plug in the Power that seemed to do the Trick.

Hi.. i did that, on android 6.. i copy both file. The box just went "black". After i restart the box, it hang in bootanimation logo.. i need to reflash to stock firmware back.

For Android 6 you would have to use the Libraries from Version 6 the libhardware_legacy.so and 9082xs.ko there is a zip file out there for version 6 with the files in it.

You would pull the 9082xs.ko from XTMOD_EX_P_28 and use the libhardware_legacy.so from a patch from the same place XtRom_9082xxwifi_twrp.zip

The instructions I gave where for 7.1 but with the correct libs and driver it should also work for 6.0

Hello all,

first I want to thank you for this great job. I just installed this ROM (April release) on my Nexbox A95x 2/16. All went very well except the Wifi and the remote and few other things :

- For the remote it is not a problem, I am using am infrared keyboard and mouse, which works perfectly. I have tried to copy the nexbox A95X remote.conf to /system/etc/ but without success.
- For the wifi, I have the AP6330 chipset and it is not working. I don't know how to install the right driver on this system.

Since I installed the ROM, I can not connect the box to any Amlogic usb burning tool. The box is also not recognized by any windows system (win7 or win10). I have tried with the reset button, without success. Impossible to flash another ROM or the last "Android 7.1 stock 7.1 ATV with TWRP and Root".

I noticed also that this ROM is not rooted. As I can not reboot to recovery using the reset button, I use Android Terminal to reboot to recovery, but impossible to install recovery.img or superuser.zip. TWRP returns me always an error...

What I don't understand is that this ROM is not rooted when I try to access it from Ez_explorer, but when I use Adb, I can be root and modify any file on /system/ ?

Do you have any idea to make this ROM recognized again on windows and/or on Amlogic usb burning tools, for installing the last ROM (july) ?
How can I manage to install Superuser using TWRP without this error :

- "bad recovery detected no unzip aborting TWRP"

Except this few problems, the ROM is runing very well on my device. No bugs.

but i can't get back into usb burn recovery mode
it ignores the reset button in the av slot
shortening the pins doesn't work too
it always boots android tv

are there any other pins to short to force booting into recovery?

but no clue how to restore stock or libreelec from here
i must say android tv looks nice
the build-in chrome cast makes it very nice
casting some live youtube stream to it now

still would like to be able to get back to stock ^^

Can you tell me your device model? I dont have this problem in my box...maybe you can try to make a backup in twrp....and then wipe everything.....and try the reset button...I dont know if that will work...maybe you can try putting twrp in sdcard....and try to boot it using reset button to test if the reset button works.

my box is back to stock, mono-core but it's stock alright!

i had to shorten the last 2 pins on the marked row of the samsung nand
took a few tries but usb burner detected it again

wonder if its possible to mod this rom so it won't disable the reset button
having to short pis to recover is scary
i might solder on an uart cable for easier restoring

im pretty sure the boot loader in this rom messes up the recovery
i tried editing the image and replacing the boot loader with stock but it won't flash then
the only way for me to recover is to shorten pins on nand
i've tried restoring boot partitions and boot with twrp but it didn't work
i think the amlogic customiser tool can't do android 7 yet

edit:
did some more testing, restoring a backup of this rom won't boot, that restoring all the partitions it made a backup of, i think all except bootloader
when i flash this rom with usb burner everything works, even my S9082C wifi
when i try to restore stock android 6 from twrp it won't boot, i think this is due to differences in the bootloader
and the fact twrp can not backup or restore the bootloader, only the boot partition itself

i must say that everything in your rom works except for the reset button
my skills are not good enough to know how to fix this
the only way i can return to android 6 from this rom is by shorting pins
it might be possible if i can somehow restore the bootloader from twrp
but it doesn't support it, only the boot partition can be restored

i'm using an a95x a1 box, the board inside has "A95XA1_V1_0" printed on it, s905x cpu
this is the only android rom that turns my cores on and off, my stock android 6 never turns 2,3,4 on

Greetings All - I have the AP6330 WIFI chip with the s905x has anyone been successful getting AP6330 working with this nougat 7.1 firmware? If so please share libhardware_legacy.so and ap6330.ko

I have rom running using Ethernet port. When I try to use goole cast I get permission error. I have the A95x 2gb 16gb. i want to try playstation vue with this rom. Has anyone had any luck with playstation vue on this rom?

Seem the Hardware decode doesnt work with this firmware. Everytime need to use software decode to open any IPTV apps. blank screen if using HW decode
