For web browsing and Tapatalk, I would say its a lot smoother than v1.4.

Hi to all,

I'm new in this forum having decided to register just a while ago. Thanks to rrileypm for this nice ROM.
While flashing I thought I would have got into problems since I forgot to erase IDB, also unticked recovery img. Sure enough when flashing was finished there was an error message. Since it was taking longer to reboot I made a reset using safety pin and it booted to recovery first then it booted the new ROM. I agree this is smoother than stock ROM.

I would agree, 1.5 seems a lot smoother than 1.4. Hopefully Pipo will continue to refine their kernel and firmware and we'll have a really great device before long!

Incidentally, there's now an official update on the PiPO website. I assume we have this one in 1.5?

It is possible it is the same firmware I made 1.5 from. I won't know until in can download it and look.

Keep fingers crossed it is a new one.

Guys I am not very experienced with backups, what is the best method (app) for backups while I am updating new roms from riley? I jus dont want to install a new launcher and my most used programs like facebook antutu etc with every update.. just want to backup my basic 10 programs with my customized nova launcher. Pls waiting for help..

I like Titanium. It allows you to restore all missing apps with data...and everything JUST WORKS!!! It makes flashing ROMs painless.

The only app you have to install from Google Play is Titanium. It is better to spend the money for the unlock key...otherwise you have to confirm every app...which takes forever.

Can you please tell us if your using HD screen resolution?...any issues?

I'm using Riley ROM v1.3, and I've some issues with HD resolution...some screen lag, mainly when I use EverNote, a lot of system hang (about 3 times a day)...so I taken back to Normal resolution and since a week ago I've not required to reset with the pin-hole.

It's the Chinese version and it's dated the 31st July. Uploaded on the 6th August. Do you know if we can change it to English language? If so I might download and have a play.

You can change the language...before you flash, look and see where the language setting is...because you will have to locate it by memory to change it.

There will be many Chinese specific apps. And you will need to enter a pass code to activate any of the premium features. I remove all of that bloatware in my ROMs.

I noticed one "problem" which popped up in 1.5 and which I never in any previous version encountered. I have a Trainsignal course 70-410 on my SD-card which always played flawlesly with BS-player which I bought. Now in version 1.5 I try playing the same mp4 files and now the voice of the teacher is out of sync with the movie. The longer the move plays, the more out of sync the voice gets. As said before, this just happened in 1.5, never noticed this in 1.4 and 1.3. Any advice would be welcome

Thanks a lot for recomendation. I downloaded and bought it. And backed up everything.. including app + system data but I guess while restoring it s enough to restore app + app data. ı watched some youtube videos ı guess ı shouldn't restore system data and red color app data if not really needed!Am I right?
