Anyone had success in updating the Google Play Store? it's not a necessity but I would prefer having the latest version.

nope there is a code in firmware that is blocking google play from updating

I thought that I saw a post mentioning the Play Store updated, so after a review of the whole thread again I found this:

Done update to OTA version 20171230 and all seem ok. Even the play store is updated to 8.7.x.x version, but with the amlogic tool. TodayI'll do some youtube test ( I don't use it usualy)

With precedent (factory) firmware version, amlogic tools didn't update Google Play, and gave an error; with new 20171230 FW version it simply update GP, after a reboot.

Can you please, minoccio, elaborate more on this and can you please double check the Play Store version you have?

Did any one tested speedtest with the Tanix 92 ?

i have a problem, my connexion is 360mb Down / 100mb Up

Speed Test on Tanix 92

LAN : 35 Mbits
WiFi : 180 Mbits

Can some one explain ? o_O

I am using OOKLA SPEEDTEST app and I have a 88mbls line.
Connected with Ethernet I usually get around 85mbps, so all looks good.

I have had this box for about 3 months. I have really only been using Exodus as I am a Noob and it has been fine so far.

I just updated Kodi and it deleted Exodus and most other Addons, but the issue is that it now wont play any movies or tv shows on any addon. I did a factory reset hoping that it would help, but it is the same. It can find shows but when i select a version it simply does nothing.

I tried using a VPN but the same again.

I know its likely due to me not knowing how these boxes work, can anyone please help?

Your box got nothing to do if kodi addons work or not .possibly you are using old or not updated addons .The better to do is try to install a "kodi build" which contains all the new and working addons. You can find alot of them when you google it .Also you will find instruction how to do it

Don't make your life difficult.
Find and download TERRARIUM and everything will work just great.
It's awesome for movies and tv series.

Hmm.
I have latest firmware update and my Play store is at 8.3.73 version.
How it's possible that people with same firmware have a newer version?
