Oh! There must be some changes other than what I had with the 3 roms I have tested with. Both are of various builds. One is Russian modded stock OTA, the other is SCV4a ATV, and lastly SCV4A in modded stock OTA.

All seem to take my modded permissions file. Though if I recall right, one had more than one permissions file. Like handheld, and TV both loading. Another thing is converting ATV to tablet ATV, I was able to quickly install the latest phone play services before any play services updates were done. Rebooted with my permissions patch and tested. Remote functions work fine, but the custom kernel keeps settings from being launched from remote button. Problematic phone apps all load and operate, no issues with ATV.

I have not loaded your firmware to know how or what has been changed... though I did peek at your first release, and noticed some system apps were installed in system priv-priv-apps. Some apps operate or may have issues being placed in priv-apps, so if they work for you, it may be that your build will operate differently than expected with my options.

If you have time try a SC build with my mod to see how it functions. The troubling phone apps are Pluto, NatGeo, and latest SBS on demand, and STV player. None of them should work properly until my permissions mod is in place, on a ATV firmware.

you can take note of the remote issues with audio, until you are able to replace ATV play services with phone version, on SCV4a ATV or SCV7A ATV, you will notice audio keys on remote will function properly, and that is with a custom kernel installed. On stock modded to be ATV, ATV play services, once installed, causes mute and audio buttons issues. So both stock kernel and custom kernel will make the same issue with audio buttons on ATV.

There must be some framework issues with our boxes that does not like the remote functions baked into the boot loader.

But I like too much all the ATV interface, so this ROM will always have it.
      Hello

is there a way to setup Leanback more personnaly...like a "Leanback preference" where I can choose how many rows I want, etc...

      Thanks

I've used the latest youtube working version in it, in case it installs the updates you should uninstall them to revert to the working version. Thanks, Now i can complete the wizard. I Test and work very good. The only bug is ES File Explorer(System UI Stopped) but overall work fine.

I know this box when you watch a movie turn very hot. You have a recomendation for that.

I cannot replicate the issue with ES File Explorer, it works fine here. But I prefer X-plore that have all the functionality like ES File Explorer and for ATV does not need to buy anything to have it working like a Pro version.
For the videoplayback you probably have less heating if you use MX Player since it supports hardware acceleration. The temperature here goes around 55ºC while playing HD and 4K videos.

Usually the best option is to use SPMC since it had Amlogic support. I'm only trying to help since I don't use Kodi at all. X-plore works fine with USB mounting, I've just tested it.

There are a few things you can adjust, you can enable and disable suggestions or (and this is not so easy) you can customize it, but you have to edit code and compile it to a package. Or editing existing files. This is something I'm also still learning, but in a near version I will change the background and maybe more this way.

I would like to take some applications away from the Home Screen. Just leave the essentiel (for me)

Today I d/led "Seriesguide" but it's only in the AppDrawer and I cannot get it to the Home Screen.

                    What am I doing wrong?

I think from what you are explaining, the SeriesGuide app is not lean back compatible. If it a phone app, it will only show up in the apps drawer.

you can install a phone launcher to allow more apps to be setup on the home screen.

or you can run the TV Application Repository to place a short cut in the apps list.

To publish Apps to Leanback you can use this online tool, it will create a Leanback shortcut for Apps only showing in AppDrawer, I will soon include a Google Chrome shortcut in my ROM. Or as X92-2GB suggested, use the TV App Repo included

I've been trying to make my own ROM, I think it can be more universal and more brick free if you don't mess with the bootloader and recovery. So to install this ROM, a precondition is to have TWRP installed (works fine with 3.1.1)

Logo of EyeTV (meaning, my vision on how my android tv should be like)
Click image for larger version Name:	eyetv.png Views:	1 Size:	25.1 KB ID:	741810

                            What is this ROM about?
Speed, light and Kodi free, although you are free to install whatever you want.
It comes by default with this pre-installed:
                            - Spotify ATV, makes it handy to use your spotify on the mobile phone and cast it directly to the EyeTV box
                            - ProgTV, The best all in one IPTV program, than can record whatever video it streams
                            - X-plore, all the needed protocols for a filemanager (It can connect Google Drive and Mega for instance)
                            - ScreenCam Screen Recorder, most of the programs won't work properly but this one does even with 1080p recording and low CPU usage
                            - Blokada, get rid of the hostfile filters you want without making any important program to stop working. It also let's you change DNS hosts for the ones you want with one click
                            - HappyCast, Although it has many chinese texts and videos, you only have to open it, then you can cast from iphone directly or other android phone, it accepts videos and photos as well
                            - MyTunerFree, all around world radios in this nice App, with Leanback integration.
                            - Gamepad Tester, this may help in adding an input device so you can control better your EyeTV

The App "QuickClean" keeps the lowest memory needed by the system, so for instance if any application is not responding you can run the app to close them, it will also close the screen recorder if you are recording.

Clean and fast logos on startup and bootanim. Builtin Off button that let's you shutdown or reboot also on recovery mode.

You can use another Android Device to setup the box like a TV (much easier than using the remote).

                            Known bugs:
(any help in fixing them is welcome)
                            1) sometimes in the new interface "Settings" app, that is more TV friendly, crashes when accessing the Wifi settings
                            2) to have Pluto TV with 50 channels on Live TV, amake sure you disable automatic updates on Google Play. If it updates, please uninstall any updates to have them.
                            3) the mute button on the remote does not mute as it should, tried about everything but it seems a bug in the amlogic sdk (I've never saw it working fine).

Android TV App command works fine, so you can use both iOS and Android apps to control the box. From there you can also use the Google Assistant with voice commands, just wait for the talk button to go red before you start talking (slow on iOS).

                            Changelog:
                            Code:
                            v1.04 (012/09/2018)
                            - Updated Chrome and TVIrl to the latest versions
                            - Added VLC 3.0.13
                            - Replaced Youtube Apk by the latest stable version (if you upgrade and it freezes, just uninstall any updates to restore this version; deactivate automatic installations on Google Play to keep it)
                            - Fixed Google Play Services crash on fresh install

                            v1.03 (05/09/2018)
                            - Added GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter, GoogleContactsSyncAdapter and PrintSpooler again since removing it brings Youtube freezes again (not sure if it's the cause, but seems working great again)
                            - Improved boot performance that was decreased in v1.02 (around 40s to boot instead of 60s)

                            V1.02 (05/09/2018)
                            - Fixed crash of Youtube Leanback latest version (v2.03.06 is working fine, no more crashes or freezes after long testing)
                            - Fixed Live Channels issue that caused Google Play to crash getting more sources of channels
                            - Fixed default configuration of the application ScreenCam, where the "auto" setting would crash, changed "use floating controls" as default so we can stop the recording (apk was signed with another certificate)
                            - Fixed PIP problem (I mean, it's identified in Pluto TV, since other sources work perfectly)
                            - Added TVIrl, adding your own playlists to Live Channels, as well as EPG
                            - Added YalpStore
                            - Added And Boost (to compare performance runtime to other ATV Roms)
                            - Removed GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter and GoogleContactsSyncAdapter and PrintSpooler (doesn't makes sense on ATV)
                            - Updated HappyCast, ProgTV and MyTunerFree
                            - Reorganized logic of the apps so PlutoTV 3.01 can be restored

                            V1.0 (25/08/2018)
                            Initial Release
                            How to install:

                            Download v1.04: from Mega
                            YOUR FEEDBACK IS WELCOME!!!

                            1) Use TWRP to install it or as OTA Local update.
                            2) Also in TWRP add Magisk if you need root.
                            3) Delete Cache and Data
First boot here took around 3 minutes, it can take longer but no longer then 5 minutes I think.

Tell me if you like or if you know how to fix any bug,
please don't blame me if you kill your box, there are risks when flashing a ROM. Have a TWRP recovery around just in case...

                            Have fun.

Here's a quick preview saved with the screenrecorder in HD of v1.0:
thks for you contribution, so can I ask that how about movie play with SPMC or Kodi work perfectly?

two4mamba should work fine, the firmware for me works quite stable and fast, as I told before I'm not a Kodi or SPMC user but SPMC will in theory perform better since it has amlogic codecs. If you could please try and give feedback, I would thank you.
