romcrazy , wether I install your aosp or atv roms, i get the same results, was able to install .0.3.7, but never .0.4.0, thanks for your help, but please remember as Kipir said earlier, they are 2 different boxes with different firmwares and regardless of your assumption "I dont know where you are getting your 0.3.7 which doesnt work with ubt". You can read on 4PDA that lots of testers can only install .0.3.7 and not .0.4.0, thanks for trying to help.

My box is LPDDR4. I use aml version of stock rom. I hope that helps. Does 0.3.7 work flawless for you? Specifically the air mouse? Try to install with ubt while holding down reset. First time, that worked for me, usual flashing was failing at 3%

Did you try yourself the ATV version of the 0.4.0???

What did not work? I can do a video for you if you need. Personally I dont like the firmware. My air mouse lags like crap but still I can install it for you, let me know.

@crazyrom installed from recovery on SD card (external) as per your instructions then rebooted .all black no signal no led light. Had to unbrick short hand pins. Then reinstalled.0.3.7 with SD card maker (ubt will not work with this box).
Also which ROM are you using? Daiviet? Thanks but Ii wish slimbox had a ROM for it.

After installing 0.3.7 through UBT. Boot the box up and place the 0.4.0 fota zip in sdcard or usb drive.
Repove the power cord, take a pin and press hold reset button and attach power cord. the box will boot into recovery. Click on apply update and then on "update with sdcard" if you placed fota zip in sdcard. choose udisk if placed in usb. it will upgrade to 0.4.0. download fota zip from link

h96 max x2s use 2 separate firmwares mine is aml_s905x2_9_H96MaxX2_mac_wifi_

But I don't think there is any difference. so great it couldn't be better.
