Is anyone getting video artifacts when playing mkvs using the HW decoder in MX player?

The video plays with no artifacts in sw mode but that has skipping and jerkiness.

I've tried the arm7neon codec from the store, no difference.

I played a 720p MKV on mine in MX with the arm7neon and it was fine in HW mode.

Hmm, maybe it's just the video. Seems to occur in animations; I haven't noticed it in any live action movies.

USE THE NATIVE built in video APP don't use MXplayer or XBMC
they don't support 10Bit decoding most anime is X264 high10p
Again don't waste time on installing a video player "app"
use the native rkvideo app or bitch at xbmc or MXplayer to fix their hw decoder

I haven't tried the native app yet. Does it handle subtitle and multiple audio streams pretty easily?

That's the main reason I use MX player. It fully supports the subtitles used in anime.

It's called rkvideo? When I was on stock I only had two pp-something players and one called video player that popped up as options. Is rkvideo included in your ROM?

                    edit

ok, the closest I'v found is one called video. But it doesn't render subs properly.

Some of the videos I'm playing have subs which are positioned on the screen to match the image, i.e. signs and labels on things.

Well I was just saying in case you didn't... Over on the XBMC forums they don't seem to care much about subtitles.

I'm probably just gonna play those videos in software mode with the 1704 oc kernel, 1800 reboots constantly, the stutters aren't THAT bad.
