I spoke too soon. After a week or so, the box randomly freezes up again, despite temps being fine. Doing a full reinstall through the USB Burning Tool, the problem goes away for a bit, but then it comes back. No issues w/ flashing and no errors. I'm guessing it's a hardware issue at this point?
EDIT: All fixed AGAIN for a few months now. Turns out the box didn't like the laptop fan I plugged into the back when I thought cooling was an issue. Unplugged the fan and everything's been hunky dory since then!Last edited by mh1983; 15 October 2020, 18:20.

A full day with my wife using the TV for remote lectures. No freezing or locking up, and temps top out at 55 or so. Happy to get more life out of this box on your awesome rom. Thanks again! Donation sent as a thank you.

Appreciate you replying! I did the clean install in the end. I forgot that my recovery pinhole didn't work any more so I had to do the pin shorting method. Once I did that, I was able to reflash the rom using the burning tool. So far, knock on wood, things seem good. Will test it out over the next few days.
For extra peace of mind, I put a usb cooling fan under the box. Seems to bring the temps down by 5-10 degrees so hopefully that helps in the long run.
Thanks again! Really appreciate it.

I did a factory reset of the rom on the box but the symptom still appears. Is it worthwhile to do a complete clean reinstall of the rom? Or is this symptom indicative of the box being on its way out?
I checked the CPU temps just to see if overheating might be at place. I see 62 degrees Celsius under load -- not the coolest but not at the point of overheating I would say. I hope I can continue to use the box for some time yet and would appreciate any feedback or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I have one question, is it possible to set the box to a AndroidTV mode?
I would really like when the apps run in Android TV mode because many apps are not working with remote because they think it is a tablet.
Thank you,
Alvatech

you can use TWRP to make a backup of your data partition. This is where most of your data and settings are backed up. But remember you still need to backup Kodi and any pics / downloads manually or through third party apps. Then re-flash ROM either through SD-Card or through USB Burning tool. Once you flash new ROM then go into TWRP and restore data partition. I do not recommend this because sometime you can get errors when you change from one ROM to another and restore data partitions. But at your own risk and discretion.
Thank you,

Thanks for your amazing work developing such nice ROMs for all of us. I have a request to you and would like to know if its possible for you to devote some of your time to solve my problem.
As you must be aware that to burn ROM through either Amlogic USB tool or SD card maker tool, a lot of people (including myself) face a lot of problems - be it Bricking of boxes, unlimited number of errors ([0x10105002]Romcode/Initialize DDR/Read initialize status/USB Control setup error), NAND pin short ....etc etc.
After spending full 2 days (&night) I finally managed to unbrick my Beelink GT1 Ultimate Android box by flashing ATVxperience S912 ROM by USB tool (by shorting PIN method). And after that I somehow installed TWRP and made backup of my whole ROM. Now there are some issues with this ROM (mainly BT now working and Prime Video unplayable) othewise its a good ROM.
since after multiple trial and error method, I do not want to re-flash any other ROM to my box using USB tool or SD Tool (SD Tool do not work for me at all), I kindly would like to request to make a ZIP of your ROM which can be flashed through TWRP.
I would very much appreciate your hard work.
I'm sorry, but I am no longer working on this box since it's an older box and I don't have it anymore.
Thank you,
Alvatech
