Anyway we all know that when a new processor comes out, usually it needs some time (at least a couple of months) to have a good firmware (either stock or custom). So I think for the moment S905X3 is still the best option.

ath 156 Thank you for replying I'm still in the stone age 1080p TV, I forgot to mention the layout is a backup from a previous tv box T95Q. This may have caused the issue, reboot is an app from my previous setup. I will follow your advice run the wizard and remove reboot app, thanks again.

Are you using a 4K TV?
Edit: As I noticed you have "Reboot" application in your Square Home. Better use the "Power Menu" application. It has more options !!Last edited by ath156; 01 February 2021, 18:46.

The Taskbar app is very good and adds another dimension when navigating around.
I have switched to square home launcher but appear to not get drop down notifications as my previous TV box from the YouTube app.
Can your ROM show notifications or is there a workaround.
Also I suggest to add a "square" for this application at Square Home Launcher, so by pressing it, it will open the notification panel
(press "+" - Application - Power Shade - Open Notification Shade).
Please have a look also at Post #198 https://forum.freaktab.com/forum/tv-...320#post819320 where you may find (in one place) some usefull links to other posts.Last edited by ath156; 27 January 2021, 18:33.

Try it and everything will be fine
Thanks.
Installed according to your instructions.
Display colors OK.
I will test better in the coming days because with 4K resolution the videos (even in 1080p (sdcard or YouTube)) are not running smooth.
I will test on a 1080p monitor, as soon as I can.
Network (cable) with 10% (24M) of the download speed (240M) on the internet.
Everything else is OK. Armbian, Xfce, ...
Good week!Last edited by webipsum; 25 January 2021, 03:05.

And so over and over.
It does not enter the Armbian desktop.
- User : root
- pass: 1234
- Then it asks you to change the password. First you give again '1234' as it asks you again for the original password. Then you type the new pass (i.e. klmnopqrs). You retype it for confirmation.
- After that you have to do some more (as you are asked). Good luck.

- Copy the suggested files (dtb file and txt file-overwrite the one there) and create the directory for BT. When you finish everything release the sd from Windows (proper way-remove sd)
- If you used your sd once, it is better not to try it again by replacing/changing files, but remake your sd from the beginning with Balena.
- I have a perfectly working Armbian build in my HK1 Box and 2 Full HD TVs.

I'm using a SAMSUNG 2160p 4K (HDMI) TV.
I can enter Armbian (Linux), but only two colors are displayed (magenta and cyan).
As soon as I test on a 1080p TV or Monitor I comment here.
Thankful.
Note: To use a pendrive on the USB 2.0, I had to skip step 5 and delete u-boot.sd. I currently have no sdcard available.
- Did you use "uEnv.txt" from the 2nd folder which is for HK1 Box ? (it just points to the correct dtb)
- Step 5 (copying "uEnv.txt" is very important to have correct colors.
- To be honest I have tested this method to my Samsung TV/monitor (Full FD) and to my Philips (Full HD). Not to my 4K LG TV.
