    Pipo M7 Pro RileyROM 1.9 AND 2.0

Pipo released two new firmware releases within just a few days. By the time I had v1.9 done, I started right in working on v2.0. Neither of which I release, but I tested both versions on my own M7 Pro.

So rather than wasting v1.9, I though someone might try it to compare with v2.0 or v1.8 as you choose.

Both ROM's are debloated to the max, nothing left in that wasn't absolutely necessary.

Also, I would like to thank Geekbuying.com for supplying me the M7 Pro tablet to test with. Because of this tablet, I'm able to test ROM's for the M7 Pro, M9 Pro and M8HD tablets. They are still MY most trusted supplier of Pipo tablets.

    Features:

    Root
    Complete Debloat
    Init.d support
    Busybox support
CWM Recovery added as an option
    4, 8 or 12gb user app space
    English Default
    Multi-User support
v2.0 has bluetooth GPS support added
    Google Play Store fixes added

    Boot Art by Tattman65
    Reboot app by Petrus
First Time User's Guide by Pr0xZen
    Flash Tool by Finless

    V1.9

    v2.0

    Enjoy!!!!!

      Will 2. 0 boot up faster than 1. 8?

I had reports of corruption issues with the zip files, so I'm uploading again. I'll post when the upload completes.

A selection of M7Pro Riley ROM V2.0 kernels to test. All produced by PHJAnderson's scripts.

              TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!!

Kernel_vsfsam has had the VSYNC miniPC stick 'fix' applied. This approach didn't work on the my M8HD tablet but worth a try?

The rest are without VSYNC and are explained by the file names. Let me know which work and which don't. I do not have an M7Pro and so cannot test myself.

I had a PM from an owner who reports:

                DDR 720 works fine - AnTuTu 20,250
                1.7 GHz cause bootloop
                798 MHz GPU causes flickering

So pretty much the same result as the M8HD, seems these are closely related products.

Here is just the 720 DDR kernel for ease of access -> kernel_ddr720.zip

stock CPU, Stock GPU, mild oveclocked RAM (580 -> 720)

                        Thanks for testing.

Did the vsync one work at all? I'm assuming not.

Great, that's the one I flashed first and I'm testing, myself.

                            Hi guys,

I'll be flashing 2.0 along with the 720 Kernel, should I just point the kernel.img to the new kernel?

Also if I try the other kernels, is there a risk of bricking or I can just reflash again easily if that doesn't work?

Proud M7Pro owner and Freaktab fan

Re: Pipo M7 Pro RileyROM 1.9 AND 2.0

The first time you flash the ROM you need to erase IDB. Then flash with everything checked as you have on your screenshot. If you only want to change the kernel afterwards.. uncheck everything except the kernel and browse the flash tool to the kernel you want to flash. That is the first thing to try if you start having problems with a particular kernel.

If your tablet won't boot...you'll need to reflash the entire ROM in order to fix the problem...but hopefully that won't happen.
