These voltages are lower between 100 and 150mV with respect to the stock kernel....I'm expecting a great improvement in battery duration!
The tablet remains almost cold even after a long stess testing.

In the next days I'll going to check the lowest voltages for the GPU.
Then I'll share with you the compiled kernel, if someone else is interested...
About the GPU, Anyone knows which is the frequency of the GPU used for google launcher managing?
Is there any app that is able to show the current GPU frequency (as it does CPU spy)?

PS: I needed to set back the frequency from 1440Mhz to 1416Mhz(as the stock rom). Because the tablet is able to work at 1440Mhz (I tested it forcing that frequency by CPU master) but, I don't know why, the CPU governor never uses it!
    Thanks Giouncino for sharing.
I made a very low voltage 1704/600/792 kernel (Riley 1.8 rom) for my pipo max M6 with this table and it works very well.
So I have "lucky hardware" too !

      Frq/volt

Hi, can you tell me, what are the frq/volt settings of
      Kernel_cpu1440-1704h_gpu600_ddr720_target
      ?

don't worry, they are lower than stock for CPU and RAM. The GPU is almost identical to the stock (only 25mV less than stock for 200Mhz):

        Kernel_1704h_gpu600_ddr720_target:

        == CPU ==
        MHz mV
        312 850
        504 875
        816 950
        1008 1000
        1200 1075
        1450 1150
        1700 1275

        == GPU ==
        MHz mV
        133 975
        200 1000
        266 1025
        300 1050
        400 1100
        600 1250

        == RAM ==
        MHz mV
        720 1200

The bold parameters are not correct 1450 is detected as 1440 and 1700 as 1704. This is correct, because I found on the RK3188 datasheet that the CPU clock can be set at 24Mhz steps.

It seems very strange that the Target_v2 is not working if the v1 does...

These are the parameters in it:
        Kernel_1704h_gpu600_ddr720_target_v2:

        == CPU ==
        MHz mV
        312 850
        504 875
        816 950
        1008 1000
        1200 1075
        1416 1125
        1704 1275

        == GPU ==
        MHz mV
        133 975
        200 1000
        266 1025
        300 1050
        400 1100
        600 1250

        == RAM ==
        MHz mV
        720 1200

I don't think that the -25mV for the 1416Mhz can cause the bootloop or any booting problem...

          Hi Giouncino,

          thanks for your great work!

Is it possible to undervolt the GPU, or isn't it nessesary for better battery life?

p.s. I had no more freezes since a week after enterying deep-sleep.

I'm doing some testing with GPU undervolted, also the GPU contribute in battery duration. The most difficult thing here is to understand which is the GPU clock used in realtime...
As soon as I'll be able to reach a stable solution I will share with you all.

              Hi Giouncino,

thanks for your great really great work!

After a couple of test i can resume.
1.3a works Antuto 18189 Pts, Target "Pos 60" Boot and feels pretty good but Antuto Crash, Target V2 No Boot.

              Low Voltage, Powersave No Boot,
Low Voltage, Balanced Boot but freece at Antuto 14%,
              Low Voltage, Turbo No Boot

              +25mV
Low Voltage, Poversave Boot Antuto 18755 Pts Think stabel. medium lucky cpu
Low Voltabe , Balanced Boot Antuto freece at 14%

              +50mV
Low Voltage , Balanced No Boot

why i cant use cpu clocked 1704 Mhz (Taget work )

              Thx for your working again
              greetings from germany

                Thank you for testing!
Target worked for you but crashed....so it seems not good for you. You may try the kernel on post #21. It has the 1704 for CPU with a little bit higher voltage. I can assume it could be stable for you.
I suppose also your CPU is quite unlucky...
But it seems you can use overclocked RAM without issues.

The kernel target from post 21 undervoltet at the beginning too?
                  312
                  504
                  816
                  1008
                  Or is it like stock.

No, it isn't like stock. Much lower voltage, but of course starting at same frq. Have a look at post #31 for stock voltage.

Can anyone write an exact " how to" for customising own kernels? I would like to make some tests especially for frq-area around 812, cause this is the area i use the most.

The one on post 21 is stock for the standard voltages and overvolted for 1704Mhz to get it stable for unlucky CPU.
GPU is stock and RAM is overclocked but NOT overvolted.

312Mhz and 812 are the most used frequency for general purposes: browsing and light games.
Some pages ago I wrote down how to modify and use the overclockomatic under windows or Linux.

                          Hi giouncino,

my f####g CPU supports only the oc kernel in #21 and run smoothly on it.
No way to use one from yours well undervolted ones!

Looking into the frequencies of #21 kernel (by CPU spy) it seems to pass from 1200MHz directly to 1604 and then to the highest 1704, so the scaling is not the best.

May I ask you to help me in making a same voltages kernel but better scaled (intermediate 1440 MHz or similar)?!

Thanks in advance in any case

                          ciao

Think at Kernel Target v2 at 1416 Mhz the cpu need more than 1125 mV
possibill with 1175 mV it will work.
At your other shared Kernel you always take more than 1150 mV

You're right, only for my lucky CPU is stable at that voltage. I'll change it tonight, and i'll share you the targe_V2.1
Sorry for the mistake...I'm playing with too many kernel variants!!!!

Here it is the updated kernel!
                              kernel_cpu1704h_gpu600_ddr720_target_v2.1.zip

                              I ALSO SHOULD ADD "DONATE"!!!

I'm very sorry for your unlucky Tablet.
I'll remove 1608 for the 1416 and I'll share with you a new version. Hopefully I'll do it tonight.
I also would like to reduce as much as possible the voltage for the 1704Mhz. I prefer not to exeed with the voltage at maximum frequency.
Stay tuned (I'm still at work now, and I can't play with kernels now!)

                                UPDATE:
                                Test this one:
I used your current kernel and switched 1608-->1416 and for 1704 I set the voltage to a more conservative 1325mV (was 1375mV). Try this "test_1", if it doesn't work we will try rising the voltage first on 1350mV then to 1375mV
                                kernel_cpu1704h_1325mV_gpu600h STOCK_ddr720_Claro_test1.zip
                                enjoy!
