Lockscreen Optional? User or ROM?

Finless, Hi,
I was reviewing your video done with your Arnova 10G2 and noticed: there is no lockscreen to open your desktop. Is that possible on Next7P? Can the user set it, or must it be done in the N7P ROM / or even can it be done in the N7P ROM? /Rob

How to backup your current ROM

My sister just got herself a NB7, and before I get her to flash to 1.5, could someone direct me to instructions on how to backup her current stock ROM first?

lost root after a couple of days on 1.5(b i think)
same thing happened with 1.4

Odd, no one else hads reporting using root on 1.4 or 1.5 that I have heard yet.

You have to watch some apps like SDmaid, etc. Also ES file explorer by default remounts /system as RO.

My root is still going strong after a week or so on 1.5d

i'm aware to mount es as rw.superuser suddenly began to fc on about day 3.

Well again, your the first to report this ever. 1.4 has been out for a long time.
When you say loosing root, what do you mean?
SU or super user problems or system is RO only and cannot be made RW again?

I have been flashing your roms to my next7p now since the cramfs temp root. I was only two days in to 1.5d when I lost root. Going to look into my flashing and try again. Also thinking of trying the 1211 ROM on the 1011. Will post my results.

Ok I flashed again and installed fine with app injector. Installed stuff from market fine. After a few boots and playing lost root within four hours. May be lbe privacy guard or adaway. Flashed again this time with the final 1211 ROM and no problems in twelve hours now. I do have a 1011 next7p.

Update. Both the 1011 as well as the 1211 roms operate on my 1011 next7p. The problem with losing root is the install of adaway. After installing adaway from market in both the 1011 and 1211 1.5 roms superuser fails after reboot.
