    Does overclocking really occur?

I have flashed a modified kernel on the stock firmware but I am not sure if the overclocking has really taken place.

the overclocked kernel does not show the correct cpu frequency under /sys and dmesg reports for the gpu the following:

Mali: mali freq table :Mali: 297,Mali: 446,Mali: 446,Mali:

Antutu scores around 15000 and 720p/1080p movies still drop frames (although it seems to have made a difference - perhaps the vsync fix?)

      RESULT

      BIG THANK YOU TO "Zetzzzzz"

Finally i got my wifi working with a Finless 1.6b ROM, all thanks to Zetzzzzz, eventually decided to follow the instructions and make my own kernel, and i now have wifi and picture looks good.

Time to check it out tonight and put it through the xbmc test.

Does anyone know how to get the "ENTER" button working for the keyboard/airmouse on this kernel??

I have tryed the original stock firmware and everything works including the enter button, i have even extracted the kernel from the image to finless rom, and the enter button doesent work,

Its a pain in the arse when using xbmc

Any ideas as finless rom and kernel from original image is the only one that works for me

This is an original cx919 one of the good one's almost all cx919 roms will work on that I will list a few but there is many many more that will work

The Bluetimes rom is for a cx919ii,,yours is NOT a cx919ii "So you need to use cx919 roms"

As i told you, my stick is exectly like yrs, all designations on it are the same. I bricked it several times trying to install verious roms made for similar sticks, but any time it was possible to unbrick it following the steps i wrote. Following to the log u post, yr device rhas broken nand. As far as i know, its uncureble... So, i belive it would be better for u try to discuss this hw issue with yr seller, perhaps he can substitite the device to another one. Any case, i wish u luck in yr hardwork
By the way, can u tell me, wich kernel returns above 17000 antutu points?
                        Hi SirSer,

how did you unbrick it? I don't find the steps you told. Can you tell me more?

                        thanks

Hello folks. I am trying to use this great tutorial to patch a timingpower firmware for the vsync issue. Unfortunately, when I extract the firmware image I don't get a kernel.img. Instead, I see boot.img, misc.img, recovery.img, and system.img. Should I try to patch the boot.img file, or am I wasting my time?

Use the boot image extract tool m8

Thanks! I figured there might be a step missing for my rom, but wanted to be sure.

I found the kernel, patched it, then used the RK tools to build a new rom based on what timingpower supplied. It worked! The video frameskip issue was fixed. The only reason I don't try another rom, is that I'm not sure if any are going to be compatible with the timingpower hardware. If anything, I may try overclocking later.
