I tried it but most all the live TV channels are block for me cause live in the US. Is their a work around to get TV catchup and other Live channels to work in the US? If you guys figured out a way to set up a London IP proxy setting within XBMC TV catchup?

We understand, you will need a VPN to get past GEO-locking, but this is not something we can really help you with, xbmchub have a free proxy thread that you could try to find and read up on. A paid VPN service with a UK outlet is probably your best bet though, there are thousands of them, so it's Google time for you

just to help you mate i use pia ( i hope that is ok ) i paid for 1 year it will work on 5 devices i have router netgear set up for vpn and on windows 7, the x7 and my lg phone works a treat just google it, about the cheapest around plus it gives you gateway for london and southampton hope this helps. i hope i have not broken any rules thanks.

common cache errors have nothing to do with us (for those who asked us), they usually fix themselves within a day or so, also anyone wondering what happened to JTV - they no longer exist - so early beta testers may see it in the menu, but it ain't our fault if their addon no longer works.

Back to the grindstone for us.

Tried and uninstalled NOT WIFE APPROVED

Ok so i decided to test out the ultimate xbmc trial on a fresh install of wasser's 1.0.4 kitkat .4.4.2 rom on my minix neo x7. I thought this might be the xbmc configuration I was looking for. i uninstalled the wasser xbmc and installed the new Kodi Helix 14.0 alpha 2. Then I copied over the unzipped .xbmc folder per the instructions. After some automatic updating and rebooting Ultimatexbmc trial came up and i entered the 911 password. After using Istream for so long i found this ultimate xbmc cluttered, confusing, with no way to change the setting. Just searching for some Robin Williams movies (RIP) got me very frustrated. Looks like TV shows may be easier. There are certainly alot of addons with UX but maybe there are just to many addons to search through to find what i usually find easily with plain old Istream. My main objective for XBMC/KODI is to watch movies and tv series. I am not into live tv anymore, except maybe a saints game that is much clearer uncompressed over the air. So UX is not "Wife approved" IMHO. So i deleted the .xbmc folder and quickly installed Istream and found and watched Mrs. Doubtfire and she was happy. Score! There are several xbmc installers out there. Istream, fusion, ultimate xbmc, and probably more. I personally like the one stop shopping with istream vs trying this addon for something then having to try another and another.

Hi, guy I wanna try your ULTIMATE XBMC and Im only care about movies, so I got few Questions:
1- when you guys gonna update KODI 14..
2- can you implement when I press any link, it give you the choice to play any external players you have in your devices , for example look the screenshot.. Thanks

I'm not trying to insult or cause any issues but I keep hearing about donations needed when most the work in this is done by the addons itself. Maybe you should think about donating half the profit to the creator of the addons used in this.

Again I'm not trying to stir the pot I have just been seeing a lot of addons created for free opensource enjoyment being used for profit and ruining what this is about.

Have been staying away from this debate since my first posts. I appreciate that this "system" repackages other peoples plugins and that on the developers original website it was (still is?) hard to navigate to the shareware download, making it harder than it might be to get it for free.

Gotta say though, one month on, because of UXBMC I'm getting fun and value out of my TV box which I hadn't in my first weeks of owning it.

I'm reasonably techie, running hackintoshes, CM phones and jailbreaking iphones/ipads for mates. I understand that there is a learning/reading pain barrier which you normally have to go through to understand what you're playing with and to do it without breaking things. But XBMC and all the plugins, for someone like me - still requires me to climb 20 learning curves all at once. And to be honest I have neither the time nor inclination to climb that particular mountain.

Some of you may feel that if I'm not willing to put in that effort then I deserve a crap set-up. All I can say is that I'm glad that not everyone feels that way.

Note - I'm not defending their approach to seeking donations. But if it offends you - just don't give them a penny- Don't try and drive them off this forum please.

The quality of what they have put together has transformed my box and I am very grateful for their efforts.
