Would order another one but www.usellisell.com is down (since yesterday evening).

I fear it's definitely over now. There was so much potential, but I think the project suffered from a bad start due to the boxes becoming available far too late.

Thanks Rockko. Looking for my next box and not really sure what to go with. Hopefully something that is better supported than my last box the Tronsmart AW80 which was a nightmare. Games and streaming is what I'm after.

The latest version of SPMC is 16.5.0. It needs probably lollipop API 21. My freakbox seems to be kitkat API 19.
Is there a chance that the promised update will resolve this problem ?

Buy a Zotac Zbox, run Windows 10 and quit worrying about updates and EOL problems for a few years. That's what I did just because of this kind of thing.

I need to know ........must I dump the freakbox because you are not sure in making an updated firmware and buy an other box.

Same opinion Paul01. The new kodi krypton needs lollipop, so .....
On my 2nd freakbox I installed "wasser-3.0.3-minix-x7-rk3188.img". It works but the kodi autostart is not always good. So, I am impatient to.

Hi Paaimans,

How does the Wasser firmware perform compared to the latest official Freakbox FW? Is it worth switching? I am still regularly using the Freakbox, but the FW is so outdated that I keep getting more and more issues. I am very disappointed about the lack of updates, especially since they were promised a few times.
