I am very critical as it comes to picture quality, especially when you are watching on 65" screen.

As far as I can say i am very happy with the x7, this Rom and Beyondxbmc.

Only little issue I have is passthrough. Hope it's Rom related and will be fixed.
Yeah, strange. I just reflashed guru3. Still having some issues with MX Player..
What version of BeyondXBMC you are using?
I couldn't get any one to work properly. advancedsettings.xml should be modified?

I am using 3.3 and most streaming from mashup. And I use the internal player. Did you tried the different hz? That was the trick for me. And like I said, when I use rockchip spdif I get big stutters.

Do you use a av receiver? Did you try the Hdmi straight in the TV.?

HardwareGuru Rom 03 - Firmware for Neo X7

I flashed this rom on my x7 and the pass through seems to not be working. I have the pass through and all other settings like I do on my other x7 with the finless rom and pass through works fine. Anyone have pass through working?

After reflashing beyondxbmc works indeed fine. MX Player also plays well enough 1080p, although there are very few micro freezes. I tried to play with the Hz, but my (42" old) TV only supports 50 and 60 and the neo X7 is connected directly to the TV, no AV in between.

AHA, when you are happy now, don't search any longer. Because a lot of mkv's are on framerate 23,976 fps. When you have a tv which is not capable of viewing on 24hz. But only on 50 you will always be seeing little microfreeze. 2 x 23,976 = 47.952 fps and not 50.

                        Thanks...
I need a caregiver .... I double clicked on that link and for some reason I thought that the link was to XBMC and not the firmware ...
                        Hi... and sorry

Re: HardwareGuru Rom 03 - Firmware for Neo X7

Ok, I've been using this rom now for several weeks together with beyond XBMC 3.2 and I have the say, congrats! Finally a setup that makes my old media streamer (mede8er 400x2) left switched off Thanks for that!

Although videos play nearly perfect, it's not perfect yet. Does anyone notice a stutter / frame skip each let's say 60 seconds? It's luckily not that annoying and most of the time I don't notice it, but sometimes I do.

                          For the rest, again, thanks!

thank you so much for your work on this. the ROM is fabulous and works well. I am seeing a major slowdown on XBMC when it is scanning my library over NFS, my TV Show lib is large(ish) approx 100 tv shows and over 1000 episodes. It starts off really fast scanning but as it gets to 50% scanned it then slows down and gets stuck on a tv show for a loooooong time, I have left things for 8 hours and still scanning... the CPU usage looks looks good at only about 25-35% ....

...is this a know issue with this version of XBMC ? Any way to clear this up?

                            Thanks FredT
This is a version i took from the official minix website, i am not known with this specific version of XBMC.
*We dont ship our comercial roms with that version.
Maybe if you try the "final" edition it works better.

On rockchip spdif passthrough it suddenly have white noise on dts and dolby streams.
When I switch on rockchip spdif setting (the movie stutters heavy, I know this is not the correct Setting) and switch back on rockchip spdif passthrough the sound is good again.

For people with not smooth payback on video, play around with 1080p 50 60 24hz.
If this is inside XBMC, i think you can solve that by changing output when playing a movie.
Click the movie icon on the right, select your output and set as default.
                            Hope that helps.

Indeed changing to 24 fps will stop the microfreezes on most movies.

                              Hi

Your rom is superb, but i have low wifi speed, arround 16 mbps, any idea's on this,

I have also tryed to flash different kernels to get the wifi working on another stick, but it stays on the kernel you have, any ideas on that as well.

                              please

Maybe you need to change your wifi channel. On a channel which is less crowded.
                                Look for the app ssinsider.

                                @hardwareguru
That doesn't help. Only when I switch in the android settings. Back to rockchip spdif and then spdif passthrough.

When I have time I will reflash the Rom.
