The superuser app I added to this ROM is SuperSU. Run the app and see if you need to update the binary...that may be all that is required.

Lately, I've started using the Clockworkmod Superuser to solve a problem I had with my MTK ROM's. You might try that version.

There might be a version you can install via TWRP or CWM recovery. See if Google helps you find one.

Sorry to correct you, but in M7T RileyROM v1.2.5.1 the integrated superuser application is definitely Superuser not SuperSU ... please have a look
Is it safe to install SuperSU and let it remove Superuser?

OK, sorry...I've switched back and forth a few times for various reasons. With over 500 ROM's...I can't exactly remember each one.

Since this is a Jellybean ROM...you should be able to install the SuperSU app from Google Play Store and have it install the required binary files from within the app.

If that doesn't work, I can make a new system.img file with SuperSU.

I am new to Android ROMS but since I bought new Pipo M7T the interest was there. I've tried two stock Pipo M7T ROMs, built in 4.2.2 and original 4.4.2 from Pipo. KitKat rom was faster but so unstable on Internet browsers and FB. Then I decided to try something “wild” even it will cost me of losing warranty on M7T. Your 1.2.5.1 ROM was perfect choice, flashed it with older boot loader and something happened, something unimaginable on Pipo with previous stock ROMs. Plugged USB stick and mouse start working as they supposed to do! I mean, what purpose of microUSB slot wit “HOST” label on it when nothing plugged in works? You brought back my faith in Pipo. But I am still a bit confused. Was this lack of functionality in stock ROMs missing driver thing or just disabled support in Jellybean kernel. Or both? Please fulfill my curiosity if it is not a trade secret or something.
One last question. If I have to flash my Pipo once again with 4.2.2 stock ROM to retrieve my warranty do I have to flash boot loader again or just stock ROM and present boot loader will be preserved?
