Turn on cr11s

Hi

i just have installed the 4.21 kernel.... i have a question.... how do you turn on the cr11s??? my cr11s does not turn on when i turn on the TV... the led is always on with a soft blue color... the only way that i have to turn on the box is unplugging and plugging many times until the led have the intense blue color.....

pd: i have a LG tv led too... and the sound works well

Using the Geek Buying posted KK ROM and your kernel_KK_v4.21_TVBOX_AP6210_SD.img on my MK902 (RK1000 chip) the devices manager for audio lists HDMI-I2S and not RK1000.

YET! Sound still works! WTF

Just wish I could get audio on the 921b! Something is screwy with that hardware. This MK902 is having NONE of those problems!

I am a total nooby, but searching to add 1080p 24 to radxa I found lot of reference in hdmi for sound, maybe....

Have you tried JB kernel from d33 on JB rom? Isnt't it quite the same kernel source?
I think it worked perfect on JB.

The problem is in the HDMI driver as I've posted previously. The android device sends a request using CDC protocol to the device on the other end of the HDMI link. If it doesn't get a reply it assumes it is a DVI device and so no sound.

This probably explains the odd behavior of HDMI. If I reboot the box the TV wont sync with HDMI and I get no video. If I cycle through my inputs on the TV it will resync. Also I do see a weird pop up message (it looks like a graphic not text) but it is so fast I can barely read it. I think it says HDMI disconnected or something like that.

I did not see you post about this. Any idea how to fix it? Why did this show up now in these sources? Never had this problem before on anything else. So this is a hardware thing?

With RR I also have the hdmi cable in red circle no HDMI. I use a HDMI selector and sometime I have to toggle on/off because DTS and dolby not working, toggle seem to force a new handshake.

D33, also I am not the only one with this problem. I put together a test ROM (cloudGo) with your kernels and gave them to Jason and he also gets no sound. So it some new issue related to some TVs.
I have tried 4 different HDMI cables and no change. It's not the cable.

It is device specific. I get audio on the LG TV in the hotel but didn't on the LG TV in my home.

The CX921b seems particularly prone to this compared to other devices. If you debug you can see the query being formed and sent and then it waits for a reply and receives none. The code normally goes on to build a table of capabilities (a Struct) for sound but in the case of no reply it simply moves on with no data, hence no sound capability at all. Unlike video it does not default to a set of values regardless of response.

Why now? Because previously the code didn't poll for capability, it simply defaulted to stereo for all channels.
