I have a ROM ready to go...but it hasn't been tested. As soon as my friends at Geekbuying.com give a test report, I can post it. Hopefully it will be soon.

                Try Root Genius for rooting.

You should be able to find Swedish language in settings.

Thank you for Root tip.! Regarding language settings my T9 do not include Swedish or any other Nordic or Baltic languages. Only Asian and the biggest languages is supported.
I got this reply from Pipo support when asking:

                    That's cool.

I have a ROM for this tablet, but I'm not ready to release it just yet.

While I'm sure it's OK, I've experienced some real problems with MTK ROM flashing on my own devices...so I'm not quite ready to support it.

                        Hello all,
After my PiPO M7 pro died I took a punt on preordering a T9. I'm very pleased indeed I did. I've had one to play with for about the last three weeks and IMO it's a genuinely lovely tablet.
It's light, slim, looks great, and I'm absolutely a convert to this tablet size. The flip cover is rather nice, and all of that's before I get to best stuff.
The screen is lovely, CPU fast, GPU decent, and everything works absolutely as one would hope - unlike most Chinese tablets I've used the WiFi is very good and stable.
While not KitKat (as advertised) or a Riley ROM, the ROM is very good, stable, and fluid. Root Genius makes rooting a doddle. A funny foible seems to be the ROM in mine seems to think my 32Gb SD card is internal memory and said memory the SD card... In spite of correctly setting things everything defaults to the plug-in card.

I can't think of any realistic expectation this tablet doesn't live up to. Yes I'm quite happy with my purchase.

I posted this in another thread, but it really belongs here, sorry mods

I have had a Pipo T9 for a couple of weeks but I haven't tested everything in great detail, too busy using it.
My (independent) thoughts below, in case they are of use.

                            1) Impressed with look, feel and general responsiveness, it's slimmer than I was expecting from pictures and came with a nice black stand/case. Closing the case puts the tablet to sleep.
                            2) Installed software is 4.2.2 with phablet style pull down menus, gapps, playstore etc, no issues except it's not rooted. The only 'Chinese' language app is QQ and there's a background 3D weather app running I'd like to get rid of. Fair selection of installed apps to start with. It was ready to go out of the box, essentially, apart from the usual personalisation and de-cluttering.
                            3) Even with the CPU/temp limiting option on, all the games I've tried perform flawlessly (eg Ridge Racer Slipstream), and there are no detectable hotspots on the rear even after long gaming sessions. It appears to have much power in reserve and the processor is set to max at 1.6 GHz rather than the 2.0 GHz it's supposedly capable of. GPUs are 4 x Mali 450MP, CPUs are 4 x A7. How that makes it octo core except to the marketing department I will never know.
                            4) Antutu is nearly 28k at 1.6 Ghz, not sure if there's any funny business going on but with an octo core it hardly seems necessary.
                            5) All the gadgets and gizmos appear to work, eg GPS, FM radio, BT4, compass.
                            6) Cameras are OK, wifi reception is good.
                            7) Screen brightness/contrast/view angles are good.
                            8) I get a day's heavy use out of each full battery charge, YMMV.

                            Negatives
                            9) The SDHC slot, SIMM slot and micro USB socket are behind a detachable cover. It's imo a very poor design decision to put the USB slot under here too. It may be a constraint of the motherboard or something, but it's not a plus and what do I do with the cover if I have to detach it for charging by USB or using MHL/HDMI? It's also possible to push a micro SDHC card right inside the case if you get the angle wrong. Don't ask how I know this. Install an SDHC card precisely in the plane of the tablet, pressed against the flat lip revealed by removing the detachable cover and it clicks in properly.
                            10) The stereo speakers are next to each other. If I was going to use them to watch a movie or something, I'd prefer them placed L and R in landscape orientation to provide better separation. But I never really use them, so it's not a big deal. Sound quality from case speakers is just OK.
                            11) The sound levels are set a little low for me, I use headphones that need a decent amount of drive. There are ways around it but..
                            12) Still waiting for custom ROMs, but they will no doubt come. Might wait for the official 4.4 kernel before I start messing, it's OK as it stands.
                            13) I suspect the metal backplate is live (or not sufficiently grounded) during charging with the supplied adapter, because it tingles my fingles when it's plugged in. It might just be a component in the charge circuit vibrating. Not dangerous, just odd, and may not be typical.

Overall for the price I think it's a massive bargain (I paid ~UK£165 delivered from HK), if this is the tab format you want and if the negatives aren't too big a turn off. They don't really affect my use of the tab, so I'm absolutely delighted. I predict popularity.

Yes, it would be nice if the USB connector wasn't under the cover... Ho-hum, not a biggie for me to be fair.

Much more of a biggie, for me, is hardly PiPO's fault. WHY have Google decided to force having a separate notification bar on everyone? It's wholly unnecessary and a waste of screen space - this kind of thing drives me nuts!

                              Calm...
For RK tablets there's a build.prop fix and for many others changing the DPI will fool the OS in to using 'proper' tablet mode, but neither works for the T9.

A little search of the XDA Developers forum will bring up to potentially useful goodies:
-Xposed installer - a fiendish on-the-fly system modding app (it works fine in the T9, can brick some devices)
-phab7 - a 'plug-in' to allow 'proper' Tablet mode... Combined Navbar and Notification bar -Hurrah!

It works too... But sadly when switched on tabletui keeps crashing whenever the on-screen keyboard pops up.

If I'm not the only one driven nuts by this 'issue' and anyone else wants to have a go, can you get this to work without the crashes?

I'd like to get rid of that Google bar too. I'm having some success pretending it isn't there, but it would be better if it really just wasn't there.
I do like the phablet mode however, it saves having a settings widget taking up space.

Another minor annoyance is that the home screen doesn't go into portrait for some reason. It's a very basic launcher.

But these are all small gripes.

                                Xposed Installer looks interesting, thanks.

I should also say for completeness that there are a couple of features I haven't looked at yet, specifically the SIMM/phone bits (airplane mode is always on to stop the background phone software from eating battery), and the MHL/HDMI thing. Be interesting to know if these work as expected.
