If you read the First Time User's Guide, I have explained in detail how to backup the IMEI number.
All of those other tweaks may not be necessary in this ROM. If you feel you need them, then you can run them later.Randy

Realize that when you do a NAND restore, all you are doing is putting the last ROM back over the ROM you just flashed.
It defeats the purpose of flashing the custom ROM.
That's why I only restore apps and app data with Titanium.Randy

OK, I understand.
I'm glad it boots OK. My first try at this tablet caused Geekbuying to brick one of their test tablets. I knew what to fix, though.
I'm slowly starting to get these MTK ROM's cooking as stable as my RK ROM's.Randy

I don't know how the sleep mechanism works, but I suppose your leather case is triggering it when you move it around. It might be possible to modify your case, if someone knows how how this mechanism works(?).For casing, I use the official case, and put tablet and case inside a 9" soft neoprene pocket to protect against bumps during transport.

Best way would be to flash the original ROM. An alternative would be to use a cwm update. I posted a tutorial on rooting KitKat, if you look at this it will take you through taking apart a cwmupdate that will root. In the script that is reviewed are a group of lines that do the deletion. With a bit of effort you should be able to modify it to just remove the root files.900Supersport

Though I am yet to flash ur custom rom and try it out, I just want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to u and all d oda developers and members of this site fr d support given. Sorry, cross posted in error please ignore.
Are you still on my ROM. A quick Google search brings up people getting that message if not rooted.Last edited by 900supersport; 06 July 2014, 20:52.900Supersport

One observation I have from flashing my iFive MTK tablet is that you don't loose your current configuration if you use the download button on the flash tool. The user partition remains the same, and data isn't lost.
I'm working on a way to change the size of the user partition to make more room for apps. 900Supersport has a process, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Stay tuned for that new feature.
Any feedback on my ROM's performance would be great.Randy

Riley. Thanks for releasing this.
Two questions.
1) What features do you have in mind to possibly add in future?
Just wanting to know a general direction of travel. The only thing I can think of that's obviously missing from my modified stock setup (rooted, some bloat removed, Viper replacing sound drivers and effects, better launcher, busybox) is a way to mess with the processor clocks to reduce idle clock speed. If there's a way to increase the top end clock that would be nice too. Not sure if the stock kernel will allow this anyway.
2) Have you considered releasing your ROMs in flashable recovery zip format? Updating then becomes a simple matter of downloading a file straight onto the tab, rebooting into recovery (eg TWRP, CWM) and just flashing the update. No PC or cables required unless it goes badly wrong. This would make it simpler to install development updates, for me at least. There are programs that help to automate this eg zipme.
Also, I think whatever you do, performance will seem OK. There's stacks of reserve power.
