    I dumped the ROM and uploaded it to my personal server. You can download the backup.img http://gopricedeal.com/FastDL/backup.img.zip
    Its compressed into a ZIP file.

      This afternoon I will take it apart and compare it to the kasty ROM you flashed. It if matches, then it got overwritten. Keep your finger crossed.

          I have to take it apart and make a ROM kit out of it like my 2.1 ROM.

          I am leaving the office in a few. How long are you going to be up and around? I might have something say in 2 hours?

              Well no need... your going to be in a worse mood.

              When you flashed my 2.1 ROM the parameter file reorginized all the memory vs what the stock 10BG3 had. This is like repartitioning and formatting a hard drive. Thus unfortunatly backup.img is not intact. Looking at it with a hex editor it looks more like the kernel which would about line up with the 10bG3 parameter location.

              So while we tried, its a no go.

              Since you now know how to do a dump, if you can get another one off the shelf and just dump it, we will be golden. Maybe the store where you got it will let you do it? Or hopefully someone else with the German version will dump it?

                Lol, do you think the shop would let me get a new tablet, just because I did it wrong?
                Or do you mean dumping a rom in the shop? Don't think they would allow that..

                And all I need now, is to get the WIFI to work, any way to do that?

                  Only to try other wlan.ko modules from other Gingerbread ROMs. Might get lucky and find a tablet ROM that has the same wifi hardware.

                  I would tell the store that the German version is different and when you went to upgrade it, the upgrade killed the screen. Tell them that a expert said if they let you dump the ROM from a new one you could fix it. Heck they may have already had a few people return them due to this same thing and you could fix those for them as well. Win Win situation maybe?

                      Can't you actually modify the ROM for the 10b G3, so that it uses the drivers (of the touch screen) of the 10 G2?
                      That would work, right?

                      I don't know if tis possible, but maybe its wortk a try?

                        No I cannot.... that is built in the kernel and without kernel sources from Arnova.... not going to happen.

                          I really need a good ICS firm ware.. or to get the wifi to work, this is really bad!

                          Isn't there a way to use the Gingercomb touchscreen thingie and convert it in anyway? xD
                          I have no idea, cause I'm not dumping roms. All I can do is webbased stuff.

                            There is no progress to be made. Without the kernel your tablet came with there is no possible way to make ICS work. We need a ROM dump.

                                Yes I think we will eventually get a ROM. Sometimes it takes a while to find someone like you that is capable of doing a ROM dump.
