MK902 - KitKat 4.4 - SMIC717394 Rom V1

Hi,

This is in the very early stages, still playing with it, but if you guys want to try it bellow is the link. In the ROM folder there are 3 kernel files, the default one its been OC to 1.7 and on Atutu you should get about 19500, there is a kernel_1.6 and a kernel_1.8, if you want to try another kernel, just rename the file kernel to kernel_1.7 and rename any of the 2 you want to use to kernel.

You can flash just the kernel after the initial flash, by selecting the kernel box only. It recommended to "EraseIDB" when you first flash, but DON'T "EraseIDB" if you just flash the kernel.

I pulled the kernel from the CR11, and everything works fine, sound fine, video fine, wifi, BT, LAN, but the camera is upside down for now

camera model also on that thread ill see if ricomagic has a code to flip it back.

just a warning anyone flashing this has to use the same loader for kitkat and when flashing back to jellybean you again have to use that loader for the jelly bean ver or you will brick the device. (been there done that lol)

Yes, that's right, if someone try 4.4 and then wants to downgrade, they have to use the loader file from the 4.2 rom.

They also changed the binary for changing from 720 to 1080, you have them?

Otherwise, it does work about 20% faster I think-

Yes ill see if i can locate that binary,i Know runs faster and less cpu draw as well so oveall speed gains. i find kitkat handels video better too. i also found that it ran the higher clock speeds with less heat issues so running say 1.7 kernel didnt heat up like in jelly bean.

Ok just down loaded and checked the zip just to make sure but no other kernels included with the zip only what is included with the loader?

Just double checked no other kernels in this rar. It was in the jelly bean one but the rom folder missing in this one.

extract the rom and inside you will see a folder call ROM where the images are located. in here are 3 kernels. kernel.img that is the 1.7 version, kernel_1.6.img that is the 1.6 version and kernel_1.8.img that is the 1.8 version.

Just re downloaded and installed it dam winzip must have had selected files its in there just used 7zip and its all there sorry. ill flash now.

cloudnet logo has to go lmao, ok its not rooted checked with root verify. blue led light working!! The rom is basic aps but everything runs smooth, re boot button works! Antutu 19738!!! with 1.7 kernel over 20 with 1.8 thats sweet, your sweet boot animation looks good, going to video test next and beyond, ill try and root once all done. more options on camera app too and turned box on top for camera so ya upside down but not an issue to me lol,

Ok re boot didnt work but did put to sleep so think that can be resolved with root.
1- Fast as hell with this build Smic (i am wetting my pants here)
2- Net speeds are up on everything (wtf did you tweek!!!!) Love it!!!!!
3- Beyond is running xbmc like a mad man chrisp sharp clean and everyone here already started play with it.
4- Browser speeds up!
5- Frames per up!!!
6- Basic root and few programs will make this ROCK THE HOUSE DOWN
7- Drives tested and no issues all working.
8- Ill hook up to pc and play local files (ONCE THE GUYS FINISH PLAYING !!!!)
9- Even keyboard and mouse preforming better.
10- Power led working so everyone will know its on lol....

it also goes into sleep mode with a red led?? video cut off when left on and noticed led red i turned on tv it restarted box? first wierd thing thats come up.
