Thanks for the hard work smic717394, I was having quite a bit of trouble getting adb to find the device even after drivers installed and were tweaked with the correct hardware ids. I was not even able to get an su flash to work either! This saves me a big headache and was the only issue that held me back from keeping it as my primary


Just one question, could this have anything to do with why my attempts for root failed so miserably? lol

1.ROOT: Android 4.4.2 requires SU to run as a daemon now. Normal root is to run a script via the init.d, but in 4.4.2 means you loose root if messing with these scripts and some rooted apps will do. To prevent this from happening i started the daemon from the init.rc so there is no need to run scripts at boot.

could be. most methods will try to root via init.d and on 4.4 its not good. To make sure that root its permanent i run daemon from init.rc. In any case if thw device is bricked, all you have to do is load the bootloader acording with the rom.

Great thanks for this awsome rom. This is the best rom that I ever tested many KitKat roms on my Minix X7 Mini. It's fast and snappy. On version 1 overclock 1.8, I got antutu bench mark 20,686 but version 2 my test of antutu bench mark got hang up at 60% ( I don't know why?). I feel version 2 is more responsive and faster than version 1. SPDIF optical pass-through sound works fine. Suggestion! How about wake up/sleep mode on mouse pointer that I don't have to reboot everytime. Thank you.

Just finished testing- NOTE 1.6 is default, not 1.7
But i know that because of your awsome boot animation that when you flash with 1.6 shows in pre boot and 1.7 and 1.8 also show in the boot screen (Well Done on that first time ive seen something that involved!!!!!) Love it. aND WHEN I SEEN IT HAD TO FLASH EACH TO SEE IF IT CHANGED WITH THE 1.7 AND 1.8 KERNEL AND WEHN IT DID EVERYONE HERE SAID SAME THING ******SWEET JESUS THATS SO COOL****** No way someone can mistake what kernel they flashed !!!!! Thats alot of work and it shows Smic

root - verified and working,
beyond xbmc and Gotham Both work with drive and window files and usb drive mount works too.
Video still awsome.
wifi and blue tooth and you even fix camera!!! OHHHH LA!!!
Browser and games work fine too no issues everything still fast as hell 1.6- 18678 1.7- 18780 18- 20113 antutu. 1.6 cool as cucumber 1.7 not a noticable heat gain 1.8 warm
Archtools loaded cwm no issues so i have 6. now. (I know there is a rockchip ver of same tools floating around but cant locate it. )
Running videos tonight but looks great so far ANOTHER SELLAR ROM !!

TO ANYONE THINKING OF LOADING THIS ROM DO SO IT SIMPLY ROCKS! Even though its still a beta..... really cant think of it as beta Smic and everything rock solid yet again!!!!!



possible addons , rockchip updater (with cmw ect) similar to archtools.

Flashed it ran everything well after running for a day got a wired mouse lag. (might be something i installed as tested games ect) some of the games became laggy and waiting for loads, killed extended grafics and ran thor ok few other race car games all worked ok, as i said think its something i loaded so ill flash again, but again another stellar rom Smic, (sorry for wrong post earlier late night do that to me lol)


hate the cloudnet go startup lol. Beyond ran great usb,hooked up to pc fine smooth as silk on all the other apps and camera still needs work ill ask for binary for that but cool at 1.7, 1.8 not that bad yes gets warm but not overly ill test 1.8 when i re flash, was down for bit as forgot my own advice and flashed with wrong loaded and bricked it lol. all good now so ill flash 1.8 and test some more later. sweet screen and installed nova and works fine ill test a few loaders once i get 1.8 on it tomorrow, wifi and network still much better then stock and jelly id have to say 20-25 percent boost in overall speed seeing as new boxes get 23000-25000 and this ones now getting over 20000 great work.



Great job cant wait to see final build if anything like the last one you put out for jb ver !!!!

Not a totally fair comparison as you have overclocked ram, CPU and gpu

The kernel he is using has ram at 445, GPU at 446 and CPU at 1.6

still get 18000 on stock but its the temp at1.7 1.8 i like!!!!!

d33 i havent started to try your kernels with this build on the mk902 its just a swappng out in flash tool right? sooo many builds what would be the best builds to test for the mk902.

I also flashed my MK902 box with V2 at 1.7 default. Just wanted to confirm a couple things.

1. This Kernel is 720 right? I choose 1080p in settings, but it sure looks 720.
2. Playing streaming vids at 1080p in Beyond XBMC (3.4) is extremely choppy, and virtually unwatchable.

Are these expected results?

The kernel is 720p. I use XBMC and it plays OK. I m sorry didnt have much time to start the kernel. will do soon. I can send you the 1.6 kernel without the vsynk fix.

also you can try enabling debugging, how many frame per seconds and xbmc cpu usage. What file you playing and from what source. ?

Cool thanks, I'm not complaining and do appreciate all the work. Just wondering if something is going on at my end, or I have a harware problem. I am playing any 1080p in Hacker Mills stash. Or the High quality (p2p) in buzzy sports including the test stream which is avatar. Untutu results in 19000+. I'll figure out the debug. In the mean time what is the vsynk fix? What will not utilizing it do?

btw how is it with 5.1 sound on HDMI? seems like rear speakers are not working. Had same issue with Minix x7 , but with some patch was solved. Thanks

I come close to 20k with the 1080p rom of the first smic rom. Hope this one comes soon with 1080p as well.
