Niiiiiice. V4 seems to have helped the stability of the default browser. I can go to wunderground.com without any problems now.
And I have not seen the restart XBMC bug yet.
Although I have not been using V4 long enough to be sure, good job non the less.
(I have the 1.7 kernel running. Seems to be running fine.)

Woo-hoo !! I was finally able to flash my first 902 ROM with SMIC's v4.4 Working fast, smooth and clean. I like. Simple thing such as right click/back is sure helpful. Ran AnTuTu benchmark, almost 18000 from 16000. Only basic testing ... so far, so good. Haven't tried any 1080p video yet. Thanks SMIC for your efforts.
It's good to be alive!

First Stable release
Hi Guys,
Here is the first stable release. Few things have changes, new overclocked kernels, for those who want to squeeze a bit more juice out of the unit I´m including also DDR overvoltage kernels. After you unzip, you will see a folder called Kernels, that contains normal and overvoltage kernels.
The normal kernels are also overclocked to 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8, and the overvoltage kernels are also 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8. Just replace the kernel.img from the /ROM folder with the kernel you want and rename it kernel.img.
After you flash you can try different kernels by flashing just the kernel (unselect everything except kernel) and find the one that perform best for you. The Kernel included with the build by default is the 1.6 from the overvoltage folder.
Here are screenshots of overclocked kernels:
And here screenshots of normal kernels:
Now, lets get back to this build,
- I includes AnTuTu, Youtube, MX Player, Reboot App, TextDroider.
- DPI reduced to 140. Using the TextDroider app you can lower it more, or go back to the default 160
- Changed the Boot-animation
- Changed the Wallpaper
- Tweak the build.prop
Here are few screenshots:
Thank you all especially scooter2014 for testing and supporting this build. I hope you all like it.
Download link Here.
Note:
If you find the video playback is a bit choppy, please download the following kernels. This are the same kernels but with the vsyncfix applied to them to correct the problem.

Bahahahahahahahhaa ok my god that boot loader is your best to date!!!!! Fastest rom yet woorking sweet with all the trimmings added.
rooted, fast, love the resolution added settings, 25,30 40 add later? Wallpaper ummm you can do better lol,
over voltage kernels played with one booted didnt dive into it much as i hate playing with voltages if its working well without it,
Launcher - ok Lots out there i choose nova just because it works well with my photo library and allows 6 screens,
xbmc both gotham and beyond working no issues.
Sweet fast and stable rom for kitkat! well done Smic nice un bloated fast and sweet candy boot animations still laughing at that. Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

Thanks for all the work smic, and BTW your going to give me cavities with that new startup screen.
Most stable rom yet I believe.
However there is one test that I really wish everyone would run before saying the rom is perfectly stable or not.
Fire up XBMC and install the Shoutcast 2 music plugin. Find a good channel that you can just let play all night or at least for a good 6 hours. (I like Drone Zone because that innocuous ambient space music just puts me to sleep.)
See if this doesn't cause any of the following.
- A straight out hard reboot
- XBMC crashing
- XBMC after the above crash, crashing 2 or 3 times immediately when trying to start it back up
- The WIFI all of a sudden acting like its hugely unstable so Shoutcast stations break up
- Browsers (built in or firefox) all of a sudden crashing on many different web pages.
I don't think its overheating. I am using the 1.7 kernels and the top is just slightly warm to the touch.
Its possible its a memory leak in the Shoutcast plugin. I never had any problem with it on my old mk802iiisb with jellybean.
I'm as leery to try one of those over voltage kernels as scooter but maybe I should.

Hi King - Little more info then ill test
1- xmbc- What build? beyond ? Gotham or Nightly?
2-Wifi issue in xbmc or just happening in browser?
3- Kids using mine so no crashes in 3 days and they play everything from games to music to movies. so maybe its xbmc issue but list what programs you have added so i can configer box same as yours.
Iam testing voltage kernels tonight , tomorrow.
just didnt want to try on my kids box otherwise id have to not only listen to them but actually provide activities too
regards. Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

Ooops. Sorry scooter. Forgot to mention its a fresh install of the latest stable Gotham 13.1 not a nightly. (just installed after I fully flashed smic's kitkat candy bar version) I'm seeing this with his non-OV 1.7 kernel. I only have noticed a WIFI issue in XBMC. WIFI analyzer seems to still be happy. The browser crashes seem completely random. With the included browser I could be in the middle of loading a page and bang, all of a sudden it just disappears. It will restart but I browse on pins and needles knowing another crash is around the corner. Firefox is at least a bit more descriptive. (Oooops, sorry about this but FF crashed. Would you like to file a report?) Again, I haven't really noticed any of this until AFTER it has been on for a while and its doing something like playing a Shoucast stream.
Thanks for the explanation of the over voltage smic. I might try one. I do already know how to just flash a kernel, but thanks for thinking about that.
BTW smic your boot anims are cute and funny. But eventually I just gotta stick in something a bit more on the awesome side. Please forgive me.There is one animation from tatman65 that I wish he or someone else would build into a bootanim, I might take a stab at it sometime.

I base my animacións on the rikomagic one, in the end of the day they deserve some credit for building the unit...
If you guys think is too much I can do another one. I have a similar version without the android robot.
