Only to be sure, I understand you correct:
1. you get it reflashed via "USB Burning Tool with windows PC" to 101k4?
2. after that you also get the problem with the sd card reader?
3. or do you only want to know, why you get the problem before 1.?
4. if you also get the problem with the sd card reader try to use a usb (pen) drive...

Its after I upgrade the firmware and now I get the problem with the SD card reader every time. I did not consider using a pen drive will try that tonight. I would like to know what I did :-(. :-) Thanks for the input

Terrific Rom and XBMC apk

Installed Finless 1.4 Rom through SD card, File browser folder, Ext SD, and clicked on 1.4 rom. Then I also installed xbmc 20140513 oman.apk the same way and so far pretty decent. The only problem is that the mele f10 remote will work okay most of the time and at times it will freeze up and I have to use the mouse part to wake up the keyboard. I also ran antutu and the first reading was 31135 and the second was 31184. Before, with Finless 1.2 I was getting anywhere from 22000 to 27000. Great job and thanks.

But maybe worst case the sd card reader is broken (and it is a coincidence that it break at that moment you have done your mod) or best case only the sd card (maybe wrong format (I had also many trouble at Linux with a sd card at MBR/MPT at a rk3188 (cost me 2-3 Days of lifetime to find out what's wrong ))) ? Who knows...

Well using a thumb drive worked so either it was a bad sd card or the sd card reader has stopped working (brand new device got to love that). Thanks

You're not the only one. According to SetCPU, mine tops at 698Mhz, according to Antutu Benchmark, it tops at 1992Mhz but only one core is active. My current Antuto Benchmark is around 10k.

I'll flash Finless ROM today night to see what happens.

OK, so Im not the only one. This really frustrates me that it works on one rom and not the other. I want to be on then latest 101k4 fw and I especially want to be on bobs rom, but using this device at 698mhz and one core is laughable.

My antutu is 23000 on 1.3beta rom with the clocks reading 1.6ghz. and never seems to go any higher like some folks getting 30000+ but its better than the super low score I get on finless 1.4, and stock 101k4 because of my clock locking at 698mhz.

. I gonna try to flash the .IMG stock rom later today, through the flasher tool and see if I get the regular speeds back.

Please let us know if you get the latest 101k4 fw, or bobs 1.4 to run at advertised (1600 or 1900 but in actuality, we should be seeing 2.0ghz speeds) . I'm stuck on beta 1.3 and 1600mhz for now.

You are far from the only one...
Only recieved my box last week, a 16gb s89 standard, and it seems no matter what rom I use its he generally running on 1 core, 2 if I'm lucky, sitting at 698mhz too... Is a complete joke tbh. I knew that it would be a project while this box is being developed but the least i expected was all cores to be active let alone the antutu scores of
30,000 -
not 9010 etc!

Best ive over is about 21k my cx-919 runs way quicker, let alone my X7..

I'm pulling its guts out today and making sure this isn't a case of the 'T' if you know what I mean!

Other. Than that Bob - wicked roms as usual - hopefully I can catch the rest of you up performance wise and and throw some dough your way.

Ir remote works in 1.4.... And not working in 1.3 for vega devices.
