OK guys... I cannot thank you all for all the testing and flashing you have done!

Everyone else later that uses this ROM needs to THANK you guys! You really helped make this happen. Not everyone would be willing to flash several times to test a ROM... LAMERS would rather sit back and wait... YOU GUYS are what I call, CONTRIBUTORS! Well done guys!



So what I have done is removed ALL the other mods I made for the battery icon and brought this back to the 2.1 ROM basics for BEST system compatability! Trust me... some stuff that I changed in system4.img caused issues and I could see them in the logcat! THIS new system.img does not have ANY of those issues! So this is JUST the new services.jar that fixed the battery icon. HOWEVER, I COULD be wrong and "some" of those other changes may still be required and if that is the case, I got more work to do!!!!!
ONLY YOU GUYS CAN TELL ME IF THIS WORKS!


So it's up to you guys to test once again!

P.S. my 8G2 2.1 ROM has the same issue as the 7G2 with the battery icon. I just released an update for them too. BUT... you guys drove me to make that happen and sure enough, I needed to know how to fix it

Brilliant Bob, downloading now. Will report back later when flashed. For safety & final checking i'll do a full clean re-flash, just so you're sure about bugs etc before the release

after 3 times of flashing for this last released....
Confirmed... the battery icon works........ itried to plug and unplug.... well ill restore my apps now... and update later if i found anything..... suspicious....

Bob,Confirmed, all running as it should. Battery running fine on & off and appears smooth as butter.Re-installing apps now so like us all will post back if there's any problems.On another point, Lopes - how do you use UOT Kitchen for theming???? Took a look on the site but it appears quite confusing to me, and I like to think i'm a bright guy! lolAgain, well done Bob and thanks to everyone for helping get this sorted!

what process did you do for the UOT kichen... i tried it and i think it doest not like our new firmware... i flash it through CWM but nothing happen... then i tried maunallyt like i do but i got a boot loop but in 1.5 rom... it works perfectly....

Only change Battery and icons for now.
On youtube there are tutorials for uot kichen.

Another update guys.

I just found out why when you select ALL in APP Injector, some /system apps were not getting installed. The reason is I was not giving enough space to /system and it filled up. So the final ROM will have 300mb of system space which should be plenty for all APPs as well as stuff you guys may want to install there later.

I should have the final ROM out after you guys test for a few more days.

Great stuff Bob, been playing with the 7g2 a lot today, all seems stable. No errors to report at present - loving it! Look forward to the final.

im so excited that arnova 7g2 has a gingercomb already...that means its almost there to have a gingercomb of arnova 7bg2 "capacitive" version... can't wait to test it out bob... thanks!!
