[ROM] Quickshot V3.1 for minix X7 mini

Hello guys.

Great work. The rom is very stable with no random reboots atm and works so smooth. But i found 2 issues that i would like to share.

1) On android main screen i have added some apps as shortcuts. Everytime when i reboot my device settings icon and es3 icon are getting removed and i have to put them back again.

2) I have imported movies library from my network disk (smb = samba) into xbmc. When i play the movies i am getting no surround sound only stereo. When i am playing movies from xbmc addons with surround sound everything works perfect. Am i doing something wrong? Current settings on android hdmi passthrough and on xbmc 5.1 enable passthrough.

Hello guys. I can't wait to get home from vacation to try this new rom. Is anyone experiencing any reboots ? I unfortunately get at least 2 reboots a day on V2.

Reboots are almost always caused by the user applying too much of an OC kernel. Each device is unique in how much OC it can or can not handle.

Another common cause on other devices ( not common with Minix one's though ) is a faulty/cheap power supply. The Minix supplied PS's are top of the line and should be fine most of the time.

1) right is a known bug of the stock launcher, I suggest you use nova lñauncher, it works great for me.

I will try nova and i will let you know. Well for the sound problem i saw the minix X7 releases notes that passthrough is working on xbmc too but on minix X7 mini release notes says that passthrough is working but not on xbmc. I dont know if i am wrong. Anyone else have this issue or is just me

Great job guys. Just one minor bug, I think. If you use a LAN connection and static IP and you reboot, it seems to get stuck at QS3 logo. I had to unplug the ethernet cable for it to finally reboot correctly. Once you plug in the ethernet cable after it boots up, it works (or at least until you have to reboot again for a whatever reason). I need the static DNS for a service I use for Netflix and Hulu.

Yes it is a known bug we can't resolve it yet. While we resolve it, there is a workaround to got a fixed IP usind dhcp(Using the ETH mac)in the NeoX7 thread, sorry I can't locate it from mobile.

In all qs3.1 libmedia.so and xbmcz is used, so pasthrough must work, in my Neo X7 is working with spdif in xbmc and with mxplayer.

My amp recognize the dts sound but not on xbmcz. So i think there is something wrong with the xbmc that comes with the rom.

I am thinking to install in my x7 mini but i have some question about airplay and xbmc.Working as well or with problems?
I have the original x7 mini image and airplay (from iphone) working only sound no video streaming and xbmc crashes a lot of time

Please try a clean install from PC, I am using it and it works great for me.

But the same to me wifi wont work, i flash my minix 3 times and tried to let the language in english and still wont work my wifi. any ideas?

I have the latest X7 mini (with antenna) and unfortunately the WIFI does not work!! (I cannot enable it).

I don't know if the model with antenna has a diffrent wifi chipset... Or even if it has any diferrence at all from previous x7 mini besides the external antenna.
While Quickshot v2 worked just fine...
Any ideas?

Make certain you downloaded the proper ROM for yours... They have a Minix Neo x7 as well as the mini version and they are not interchangeable

First, a BIG thank you for this rom! I also own the X7 Neo and installed it there without a hitch (the rom version for the X7 Neo that is)

I have the X7 mini coming in two days (figured it would be a nice little box for the bedroom) and plan on installing this mini version to it. Since I have never owned the mini, I am assuming the PC install is going to be the same. But, the mini does not have a power button. I assume I just hold in the recovery button and plug in the power while I do (with it connected to PC USB) to connect to the PC? From there I will just install it the same way I did with the Neo.

You guys really outdid yourselves with this rom. It has everything I would want right off the bat (TWRP, root, useful apps) but I would like to make one suggestion for the next release and that is to do away with the current Ad remover and include "AdAway" instead. It works MUCH better.

I also pre-ordered the X8-H. I really hope to see this rom migrate over to the AMLogic S802 Thank you again for all of your hard work!

I supposed in mini the procedure is that, but I don't own the mini, do I can't assure.
Adblock can be uninstalled and install adaway.
And yes, we expect to play with amlogic platform.
