i installed the ROM and it works fine with my stick. Thanks a lot for your effort!

But still I have some questions. Does this ROM always run on 1.2Ghz or does it slow down when apps are not running? Do i have to activate script or it works by default? And does installing SetCPU mess anything with your scripts? AND how do i uninstall apps i don't need?

Script works on first boot. It does go to 252 when not in use...if you are in an application it might stay at the higher speed. SetCPU should override the settings. You can change the script yourself it it in /system/etc/init.d/cpu try at 1608000 if you want.

The initial boot sits at the floating globes splash screen with them dancing around for at least 60 minutes now. I will let it continue in hopes that it is just taking a very long time. The fact that the floating orbs are moving are a good sign to, I hope...

Anyone else experience an EXTREMELY slow first boot? How long did yours take to boot initially?

60 min is too long maybe 10 at most. did you clear before flashing?

Yes I erased the flash before loading the ROM both times. Any suggestions?

Are you sure you have the original mk808 with rk901 WIFI chip?

I'm sure it's an original mk808, but how do I confirm the rk901 wifi chip?

The original is the only one with this chip, if you are sure there is no need to check the WiFi chip. Have you flashed other ROMs and they worked?

Yes, I have used Finless and a side ROM provided by mo123 that he's been working on.

I have had this ROM installed for a few weeks now and when it is working it works well but I find that sometimes there are a number of issues when I boot my original mk808b device like:

- It will have disabled wifi for some reason and I need to switch on again using the Android Settings
- It will take a long time to boot sometimes and other times it boots fine
- There are errors like Android System is taking a long time to boot and would you like to wait or kill etc. sometimes when you boot.
- Sometimes the wifi just drops and does not show any indication of this even though the router is right next to it and other times it stays connected fine?!?

Other little niggles here and there as well with performance and lagging on occasion...

Any ways to solve any of these as it would be a great little box if these issues were not there?

I haven't heard that. Try different PS. 2amps work well. Best Buy has a rocketfish branded one for $9. But an Ipad 2 amp charger works best. The one that comes with the unit is not that good.

Either that or you have a bad flash.
