Just changed my HDMI mode from 1280x720p-60 to 1920x1080p-60 and Antutu increased to 10659 from 10073. Odd as I'd expect it to drop. Btw Shomari, what CPU scaling are you using? I'm still on default - interactive
...your runtime is very slow. Mine runs at 1700, also your storage I/O is way below what it should be for this chipset.

Same. I'm also on default. I keep mine running the overlay and framebuffer; I haven't changed it from 1280X720.

The reason the score jumped for you is the kernel uses less resources when running without the overlay. The overlay causes the 1080 kernel to scale the UI and some video to 720. With it off, there's less processing being done to get the picture to your screen. It's still internally rendering at 1080p even without setting the resolution to 1080.

Kitkat runs well but I have problem on every reboot with Ethernet (I have WiFi off)

On reboot Ethernet remains enabled but it does not connect (this irrespective of the state of the WiFi)

To get connected to Ethernet I have to turn it off, then turn on WiFi and wait for it to connect, then turn on Ethernet (still no connection) then turn of WiFi at which stage it it the connects to Ethernet.

Any ideas and thanks for the Kitkat update - great stuff!!
That sounds like a horrible experience (what a routine). I don't use ethernet so maybe somebody else here who does can help. Good luck!

..there's really no telling until you try it yourself. So far reports say MK809II, iMito MX1/MX2, MK802IIIS(B) and MK806B all with MTK chipset are fully powered by this ROM.

As with all thing TV sticks, the sheer variety of hardware configurations makes it a shot in the dark as to whether or not a given ROM/hardware combo will work.

If you have the MTK RK3066 chipset, it should work, but until you flash it and try, our guess is as good as yours.

Is there anyone here who got this ROM to run on a UG007-II?

    Instant performance boost

The stock kernel runs the GPU at 148mhz-240mhz most of the time. If you run an overclocked kernel and have GPU at 400mhz or above you can see an instant gain in both CPU/GPU performance by adding the following line in build.prop:

    debug.egl.hw=1

It had an effect in 4.2.2 but the effect is more profound in 4.4.2 KK; with this line I've consistently remained above 15000 points in antutu (with 1080p kernel) and CPU utilization seems to be less during video playback.

There's a drawback, though. You must have a solid power supply (3a+) as the GPU is pretty power hungry and it also creates more heat than the CPU cycle per cycle, it seems.

Sorry to hear that. Something must be different/off about your chipset. I was hopeful too because others had solved similar issues with this ROM by beefing up the power supply.

    Cannot root with KingoApp

Finally a successful root with KingoApp as it seems a little temperamental.

    Guys, this worked for me.
    Clean install rom.
After first boot, go to settings, backup & reset and select factory data reset with Erase SD Card checkbox selected.
After reboot, try kingo root and select root again.
Install Chainfire's supersu, update binaries and reboot.
    Work's 100% for me.
    Cheers DFGAS for netflix confirmation.

    Hi,

I've tried several times to root my imito mx2 with this App but there is now way. Windows and the Kingo root don't detect my device. Do I have to install some other drivers? Do I have to disconnect if from the AC? Any help will be grateful, thanks

When i enable "USB debugging" as advised i get a new unknown driver message.

    EDITED

I read other user had the same problem. My problem is the device is not even recognize after enabling ADB and activating USB connection. Should I try installing PLT-7035 ADB Drivers?

    2nd EDITION

It's done. It was some kind of weird problem with my usb cable :/

I've installed non over-clocked factory img file. Which improvements do you suggest? My BT is not working but all the rest seem to be perfect. Nice job with this rom!

Haha, no. Got a Nexus 5 and a Galaxy S4.

I ordered that 3A charger you linked to in Amazon. I'm hoping you're right and the additional power will let me run this 4.4.2 ROM.
