unfortunately I have had no luck at making a bootable kernel. there is just not enough information out there to make a bootable android image as I am unable to flash the kernel to the NAND to test it out first, due to the problems with the stick, so officially I give up, I am just not experienced enough to do it. booting from SD is still very new and as far as I know the only company that has done it is Radxa Rock however that is just speaking about android they can even flash the NAND from the SD card with a special image, but they have not released how they did it

I tried to use a PC with native USB 1.1. No result, all the same as on USB 2.0.

I have discovered how to flash the NAND from SD card, but it does not help the situation as I have not found a ROM that will not bootloop. I have not got any idea why the ROMs are doing this as I do not have a serial console or the original ROM to flash back

You wnt to say, if you will have original ROM, you will be able to make a new one? Hm... Will it be possible to copy ROM from NAND if I replace chip on any USB flash with similar NAND?

good news for everyone that owns this android stick. I have found a way to re enable the USB port for flashing. People were right it had been purposely disabled. I am going to work on a tutorial to show people how to do it. I hope you guys have a steady hand and are good with the soldering iron LOL.

I just want to state before telling you how to do this that you are doing it at your own risk and if possible you should send your android stick back. If this is done wrong it will break your stick

                  What you will need
                  1: Soldering iron
                  2: Magnifying glass
                  3: A very steady hand

In the picture below you will see I have marked two solder pads, these must be joined together taking great care not to connect it to anything else, efectivly what we are doing is reconnecting the VBUS which allows us to flash the device.

Thanks a lot! It works =) I'll started a thread (link) to get a good firmware.

For me it also worked. Now I can finally update. Now waiting for a custom Rom. For the moment using the kit Kat Rom

I have a CX-919 with the same problems described in this thread. I was happy because there is a solution. But the PCB of my device is different. On the PCB is written 2013-06-17 CYXTECH_RK_3188_909 V1_1

Sam321 made a big work to find a solution. I can only advise you to find soldering marks on your PCB. Sure, if you tried all other methods.

Yeah, I followed three other threads looking for a solution and I came here. My device has the same problems. I thought the Sam321 or someone else could help me, because I do not know much about electronics.

Your stick is totally different in design. as such unfortunately I cannot really help, I could make an educated guess but one wrong move and your stick will no longer work. It took me a week of backward engineering to find the solution, without access to the hardware it is impossible for me to help. I do electronic work for an hobby, as such I am reasonably skilled and I know what I am looking for. I strongly recommend that anyone that does not understand electronic design does not attempt to try to connect random connections on your PCB, as you will break it. this is work that should be carried out by a experienced person only
