KODI with passthrough (for devices with a modified libmedia.so)

I tried this version on my X7 Finless 1.9 and it just blanks out after the splash screen and pops me back to the desktop ( so to speak ) The version I got working was just plain Kodi from kodi.tv ..

Any ideas why it dumps me back after the splash screen?

Passthrough issue with MK80 (AllWinner A80 chip)...

Hi there guys,

I read the thread and really envy you. I have the MK80 which is a great machine running Android 4.4.2. it's connected to the TV via HDMI and to my AVR (Yamaha) through optical cable.
Even though I set all audio settings as needed with passthrough enabled and all, I don't get DTS or Dolby Digital on my receiver but only stereo sound.
Can anyone of you guys help out by compiling for me a version or Patch for Kodi that will enable full and smooth playback with proper DTS and DD?
PS: Currently running Kodi 14 but I have tried all kinds of other versions (latest VidOn, SPMC...) without success.

@a007fan: Looks like your firmware is not passthrough enabled.
Get a firmware that is..such as the 'wasser firmware'

Do you know of this firmware is compatible with the AllWinner A80 chipset? Where can i find information on this?

I have been trying several different kodi with different libmedia...

my videos are all choppy with no sound... or sometimes i get smooth videos but the audio sound very choppy

Which rom and device do you use?

Mo123 - thanks but I already scouted that thread inside and out over the weekend.
I flashed both the Finless and Dovless firmwares and yet the passthrough still didn't work using various Kodi versions and builds (SPMC, VidOn...).
is there a specific Kodi version I should have used with one of these FW to get the passthrough to work? how about the Libmedia file? should I have updated it?...
