Didn't work. Uninstalled aldiko and restored app using titanium. Still went to external memory

ill try it and its the same and i have not installed V6 after flashing .just the v2 rom
set location to internal and after reboot the icon is on the home page but its says not installed.
i have it with archidroid its a rar zip program
i look further for a solution ok .

SK, ok i've done the following after setting using terminal commands:

1. Uninstall aldiko (my selected test app)
2. Rebooted
3. Checked terminal again to be sure command stuck (it did)
4. Recovered aldiko through Titanium
5. Checked app status - was on external sd. Uninstalled & rebooted again.
6. Went to Google Play & installed aldiko again.
7. Checked app status - is on external sd.
8. Did the same, this time with an apk, exactly the same again.

So i've tried all 3 ways - recover, direct download and sideload, but each time it installs to the external sd - which causes the same problem we've discovered.

Just wanted to share the info.

Edit: gonna reset the install location through terminal until we find a solution. I was reading of this being an issue with android 4.1 - many developers complaining of the same despite setting through terminal commands. No workaround yet, well none that is public.

ok i know if you install a app too sd than you have on your sd a folder .android_secure wright?
there is the app located.
but if i look in to that folder its empty .
so the app is floating around somewhere

we are not alone with this problem .
galaxy s2 and many other devices has that problem too but has no solution so far.
the only solution i have now is move it to tablet.
we must find a solution for disables the sd card for installing apps

when i look in vold.stab from aosp i see difference with the original vold.stab from original stock rom.
also in the platform.xml file. this are the files from aosp.


you see here a line : dev_mount flash /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/virtual/mtd/mtd9/mtdblock9
on stock rom you dont have that.
if you delete that line and restart the tablet and install your app that automatically install too internal sd than its now install to the tablet self in data/app like the most apps.
the only problem is if you look in settings by storage you see that nand flash is not mounted,and you cant mounted too.

I added this myself in AOSP

<group gid="media_rw" />


If you do not have that NO MEDIA get put on SDcard nor will it be found by media players. This was a known patch asked for by rrliyPM and Mr Weelson.

You can change vold.fstab and see if it solves it but I kind of doubt it. Easpecially if it worked before running V6.

I'm 100% sure its not v6 faults
i had it too with V1.5 with the app archidroid .
the folder .android_secure is on the internal sd but no archidroid files thats the weird thing.

sow my question is can you add more app space like 2.5 gig.
and delete the nand flash memory

OK then change vold.fstab to stock and see whatr it does. The profile.xml change should not be causing that.

Let me see BOTH vold.fstab. stock and AOSP

So - SK, Bob, is this something us users should try to do or is it something more ROM based? SK, did the edit solve the problem, couldn't quite get the last post.
