FW is installed using reset button. Put firmware files on sdcard, unplug box, press reset button which is in AV hole and plug the power in. Wait cpl seconds and release reset button.

My box works normal. I never bought EM8, it was sample box. Anyway, next week I will have more (direct) info.

The early march / april m8 were egineering samples by acemax, ny and sz, then came the v092

M8 Amlogic Tv Box, No Problem Stane Firmware

Stane Thank you for your dedication and effort. I have a flat Box M8, at first try putting on your firmware, I had trouble apparently was not compatible with my box. Download [ROOT] Rashr - Flash Tool 2.0.4 APK, this application allowed me to flash the recovery and was able to install.


So far the firmware does not give me problems. I want to detail some observations.


1 I use XBooster.apk, monitor my memory, I found the difference is that your firmware uses much more ram


2. couple of minutes of my box on, flickers and goes black screen in seconds


3 I have no problems with power off, when I turn off my tv with the remote control box turns off after several seconds. A significant advantage is that it stays off without the blue light.


4 The startup is slightly faster.

Supplied Remote and Menu Option

Sold Rom.
Just an observation not a problem
On home screen Using supplied remote, long press menu, cannot use remote to select any items mouse OK

On all all programs screen, long press menu on remote shows Wallpaper, widgets and settings, cannot use mouse or remote to activate these 3 items at bottom of screen, can navigate all other icons with remote or mouse.
Is this normal or just a side affect?
Still discovering this thing called android.

I last used Finless 1.8b and when i used the browser to go to a streaming site and watch a movie i could pick fullscreen. And it was really fullscreen on the tv not fullscreen in the browser like in this rom.
is there a setting i have missed? Or is there a better browser to use?

Grate rom needs some changes. I have problems with wifi keyboards air mouse and touch (mini rii ko1,k25,measy rc11,rc12,lgiteck k400)micro lag some delay in some moments (they all works grate with 108/k4 rom for s82 s89 m8 beelink)

somethimes have lag with apps like a problem with xbmc dont want to be open but that is not a problem

deep sleep ,this rom look like a good base for u just need to put some stuf in rom ,i hope u will do that soon ,ty agan for grate rom

I installed it yesterday and so far it works for me. I streamed from genesis & navi-x. I am a newbie though so not sure what other issues others have found that is important for them. I only stream and have only watched 2 tv related episodes in " HD "

It has surprised me how many different experiences so many people have even though its the "same box".

Almost seems like if what you currently have does not work, then try a new one... once its works for your needs keep it and enjoy it.

When I install this firmware although it is by far the best android release.
The first time I flash the box and setup everything.

Press power button, and box remains with LED on and non responsive.

I have to unplug the power from box and from then on it is fine.

Just the first time after flash.

Apart from this Wifi seems to have been improved drastically but ethernet works but still is a bit off.
