Network Acess File Managers
I can't use ES File Explorer, Astro and other network file explorers using this rom. When I try to use most, they see the network shares, never prompt for password and show empty folders
When I use ES it prompts for username and pass and tells me its wrong (even tho it works on other android devices).
Is there a fix for this? This is probably the singlemost important use for me. It seems its not something with the applications but handling of network username and passwords from the ROM?

ROM Issues
Flashed the September 3rd ROM, so far after two days of usage 3 annoying issues:
1. Battery charge is very slow, several hours with original adapter and still 70%. Discharge is faster than usual
2. Touch screen is lagging and not as responsive as expected
3. Several wired errors using Titanium, including "insufficient space" on backup and hangup on restore
Appreciate a hint, or suggestion to basic stable ROM.
Thanks.

As for 2) totally agree too.
3) no probs using TB. Maybe you messesd around with uperuser app?
sent with my Cube Talk 9x U65GT
1. Original USB and charger, seems strange
2. 8 Core device, wrong software, feels like performance of 2 cores? Always wired to me to see the Antutu scores as a benchmark, for most practical purposes meaningless.
3. Will try to reinstall
Any better ROM to recommend (even less features)?

I have none of these issues. After flashing did you format cache and data from recovery.900Supersport

Proof that you're never to old to learn. Sometimes too old to remember though.

Titanium issue resolved. Battery issue remains.
Lags on touch somehow improved yet not as smooth as I use to from other devices. Thanks.

Here's a lightly reworked ROM based on Cube's U65GT V1.8 firmware of 3 Sept 2014, yet another update from cube versioned 1.8
ROM Download update from 3 September
So what do you get?- UK English by default
- Root
- Removal of Chinese apps
- init.d support with busybox integration
- libMali.so fix as found by dmc0306
- option of CWM recovery built with rua1's MTK Droid Root Tool, if you want stock recovery I've included this too (look for 'orig')
- auto install feature:- if you create an autoinstall folder on your sdcard containing any default apks they will install on first boot. I tend to be sparing in this just loading my preferred file browser, terminal emulator and titanium backup.
- adjusted EBR files for increased space for apps. Default is 4Gb with options of 6Gb and the stock 2Gb. Please ensure to chose a matched pair of EBR files.
I've included instructions within the download for flashing both the full ROM (required if you are changing from Cube's earlier firmware) or flashing just logo, boot and system (ANDROID). Hope this is of some use.
I strongly recommend that before flashing you backup anything important and either factory reset from a stock ROM or if you have a custom recovery boot into recovery and clear/format cache and data
Brian
CWM zip for 6 Gig apps space
PS Lepi pointed out to me that its easy to boot into recovery as follows. First power off the U65GT, it vibrates when shut down completes. Press and hold power for about a second then press and hold vol+ until a menu displays (its small in white). Scroll through the menu options with vol+ and select with vol-
Lepi's brightness patch can be found in this post http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post217270.
I've noticed while preparing a post on modifying MTK ROMs that I've broken the init.d functionality. I'll sort a patch for this to be flashed from cwm for those that need it.

Or there is a very big difference between the CUBE U65GT's
I don't can believe that...
My Tablet uses up to 3,2 Amps from charger and geht's warm if I am charging and playing at the same time...
Maybe for some tablets will the higher charging-rate the ultimative way to die.
The electronics inside the tab seems not to be designed to charge with more than 2 Amps...
Mine works fine with that for now at my own risc ;-)
I would recommend to take the time to charge with the stock charger!
It's the safest way to have fun a long time with your tab ;-)

Since in this ROM the default apps partition size is 4GB, it leaves only 8.45 GB for storage... If you need more storage space and don't need 4GB for apps partition, you can flash the EBRs for 2GB apps partition. This will give you about 10.45 storage space...
Thanks so i haven't to worry about that. Do you know, because i have a small amount of free space on usb storage, can i install programs on SD card too? Like the navigation program which need about 5GB?
Thanks so much for your reply..
