I seen this on my Cube some time ago.
I found an advice on 4PDA regarding some type of calibration and it worked
"1) 2-4 complete cycles (discharge to shutdown - charging off to 100%)

    2) Each cycle is as follows: discharge - off - charging to 100% - with the inclusion of plug the cable - reboot - take out the charging cable."

In my situation only 2 cycles was enough.

I used the update.zip file that you're supposed to place at the root of your drive, and initiated the update from the settings menu.

I believe its from another one of 900's posts, if not another one on freaktab for this same tablet.

I've heard the opposite, that a complete discharge can destroy the battery.

I speak here about my experience with my Cube battery.
I can't guarantee nothing, who have problems with very fast discharge in a few minutes from about 30% to 0% is free to try.

Discharging your battery to 0% probably won't destroy your battery, but it's definitely not good for its health. Only let it discharge this way if you really need it. For example, to fix something...

Malware warning from Avast when downloading ROM

Attempting to download ROM from this link but it's being blocked by Avast throwing a malware error. Any thoughts? Thanks

Sorry to bother you again, but that zip file appears to only contains drivers for 2k & XP. I'm on Win 7. The instruction document shows an image with more folders than the zip file actually contains. Also, I'm not clear how my laptop is supposed to detect the tablet when it's switched *off*?? Sorry, I'm a real novice. Am I doing something wrong?

Just search drivers for MTK preloader for windows 7 on the net... Search google.

When tab is off and you connect it to the PC using the USB cable, it will enable preloader mode (for flashing the device). If the tab is on, it will be recognized in USB debugging mode (not suitable for flashing).

For installing the driver (mtk preloader) you will need to pick it manually in windows device manager. You'll have to be fast, 'cause it appears as soon as you plug the tab to the PC (switched off) and disappears in a few seconds...

So, tried this, just caught it in time, installed the driver successfully, then....nothing. The USB tray icon disappears, nothing listed in Device Manager, flash tool just sits and does nothing when I click on download (ie nothing shown in progress bar). Thanks for your help. I'm running Win 7 Home Premium, the tablet is a Cube Talk9x ver. 1.8
