    Polariod PMID701i, PMID701i_10, PMID701_x10, PMID701c, CM9 / AOKP /CM10 compatibility

    Polariod PMID701i, PMID701i_10, PMID701_x10, PMID701c, CM9 / AOKP / CM10 compatibility ZIPs

(do not use this on the Polaroid PMID701_x13 please see my CM9 / AOKP compatibility for Polaroid PMID702c http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...patibility-zip i added support for the g-sensor for PMID701_x13 to this compatibility)

check back shortly uploading compatibility zips at this time. these are 1st run trials I don't own any of these devices so i have no way to test and debug. please make sure that you preform a full back up of your current ROM before atempting installation. please for the good of the community if you download post your findings whats working, whats not working. i will assist as much as i can with fixxing any issues you might have. if you are familure with dmesg, and logcat would be a great help with fixxing any issues so we all can enjoy these great roms from Christian Troy.

This was built using the PMID701c factory files I can only confirm that it will load to the boot animation as my device is an A13 not an A10 as the PMID701 series devices are but this should boot into CM10 at least on the PMID701c i would recommend you try to boot into CM10 before installing gapps.

    CM9-AOKP-CM10 compatibility.zip
Before you begin please download and familiarize yourself with re-flashing the factory firmware with livesuite so you can restore your device to factory state if any thing goes wrong. http://www.southerntelecom.com/polaroidsupport/firmware/

CM9 & AOKP & CM10 for Polariod PMID701i, PMID701i_10, PMID701_x10, PMID701c compatibility boot image that will allow you to run

    Christian Troy's Allwinner A10
    CM9 http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/3337...cm9-nightlies/
    AOKP http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/34824-rom-aokp/
    CM10 http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1821398

this is only a modified factory boot.img that allows you to run CM9, AOKP, and CM10 this is still using the factory kernel at this time. (CM10 only at this time please check back later for the CM9 / AOKP)

    select wipe data/factory reset
select Yes - delete all user data

    (8th Reboot)
    select reboot system now

    (9th Wait)
1st boot takes a minute be patient let it sit and do its thing i personally recommend at this point you take a 15 minute break grab a cold one and relax and let the device build its cache and settle down. you will need to change the background image as it doesn't draw correctly the first time.

    Known Bugs for CM10

Added MountAllwinner.apk use this app to mount SDCARD for PC connection or:

    * If you have issues with Tablet -> PC connection use an app to transfer files via WiFi, like "Airdroid". Or use the script "mass-storage" as workaround. To use it open terminal emulator and type these commands:
    Code:

    su
    mass-storage enable

    [ do your stuff ]

    mass-storage disable

William, can I boot into CWM, then boot your compatibility zip without doing the wipes? Since I already have cm10 running on the 701.
Oh yeah thanks for all your hard work.

      Edit:
William I have a question, most of the other Compatibility zips are only a meg or 2 while the one for the 701 is 107 mb. Not really complaining, just wondering why yours is so large.

I was thinking the second 702 link, that was done today is the one he wants us to try..
          or this file,

I could be wrong, so take it for what its worth. That was the only file not made in July, so that's why I was guessing...

Mine is a full rework of the factory boot image which means the kernel modules and a a couple of other files have to be changed. I also include a few apps, such as nova launcher as at the time the CM10 launcher is more ICS than it is JB so it crashes alot. You'll notice the ones on his site are between 2 and 10MB as the are generally just additional drivers specific for the device they are made for. CTs uses a custom kernel he made. As I don't own a 701 series device I have no way to test or figure out what drivers from what compatibalitys need to be packaged together to build one based on his kernel.

for some reason google drive wants to open the zip file for you, just click on file when it opens and select download and it will download as a zip.

ill be moving from google drive later this week.

please post your model and does this happen with both CM9 / AOKP, or just with the CM10. if it is with both i will rebuild one just for that device and not the full 701 series. also the 701i-X13 model wont work. if it is the X13 model try the 702c compatibility.
