We really need that Dolby passthrough with XBMC, it is becoming a pain in the butt. This will be a world class box when you get it working. I can't understand why it is taking so long. I would like to see a real fix so I can use any Kodi version I want. I use these boxes as my PVR, and the Kodi devs are doing a splendid job adding functionally to it on a daily basis. By restricting me to a "special" version of Kodi/XBMC, I am missing out on that functionality.MK818B, T428, ATV 1220, CS918S, TV01, S89H, R89, ADT-1, MK808B Plus, MINIX X8-H Plus, Tronsmart Orion R68

Both DTS and DD works on my R28 with Finless ROM 1.2, but when im jumping forward in a movie Kodi either quits or the audio is out of sync afterwards.

Hope that we can get the passthrough to work properly soon!

Hey guys,
I got an EVB from RK, but still not working PT by default, apparently
The ROM is dated 20140829 and the PCB looks like http://www.cnx-software.com/2014/09/...-stb-unboxing/
Which hacked libmedia.so am I supposed to use?

Try the first libmedia.so
We need someone to compile Kodi beta 2 or latest nightly(basically Beta 3) with passtrough.
SPMC gives audio distortion with passtrough with certain equipment for certain users, which is not present on beta 1.

Any idea what more recent firmware might work on this one?
nice to see you (here)...
No, sorry, you are the first one who talk about this pcb, BUT normally you should be able to use every rk3288 rom, if you use the boot.img, kernel.img and resource.img from you pcb (or matching fw)...
(MAYBE also if you only use the resource.img which describes the hw (e.g. GPIO) but maybe because of ap6330 vs. ap6335 you also have to use your kernel/boot because of the correct drivers)
Worst case have a look at http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ew-RK-2-1-tool to learn how to dump/backup the stock rom from your pcb...
What I don't know is which actual bootloader (e.g. RK3288Loader_uboot_Apr212014_134842.bin) version the stock rom at your device use (because at the newer versions at other devices like e.g. beelink they upgrade the version (RK3288Loader_uboot_V2.15.02.bin) but I can link you to the older version if need)...
Here are different custom roms
bases on beelink/Tronsmart rom
bases on beelink/Tronsmart SDK
bases on Nagrace rom

Patch tool
My coding sucks in this app. If you do something wrong start the app over. I also wouldn't patch more than one without restarting.
Place folder in c:\patch to use....Place the libmedia.so in patch folder.
Work your way down the buttons.
Open file and navigate to the libmedia.so
Open the csv in the csv patches.
Patch the file.
Since this is not a kernel skip the CRC step
Save....It will save to the same folder your libmedia.so and ammend it with patched.
I make no guarantees that this will work on other libmedia.so files. I hope it does. As long as the code doesn't change much is should work. Might work on other libmedia.so files....just need to test.
Big thanks to stafstrom for the actual hack. Just trying to make it easier for him and everyone.Prahjister ****MK808(nonB)****MK808B V5****MK808B Plus****UBOX R89**** CX919****MK808B Pro****Nexbox N9****Eny Em95****Matricon Q2****Tanix TX5 Pro****
