OpenELEC 6.0 for Amlogic-based TV boxes is available now. New TV box is supported now - T8 (based on S802 SoC).
WeTek Play builds were removed from this topic because WeTek Play box is now officially supported by OpenELEC - see http://openelec.tv/
See more details in the first post of this topic.

    Hi!
Someone can confirm if M8 rom works for this one?
I don't want to brick it.

    Thank you in advance

Sorry, I know this question has been answered before, but the solution offered did not work for me this time. I've installed Openelec 5.0.8 on a M8 2gb/8gb android box and, when I play a video with hardware acceleration enabled, all I get is the amlogic logo on the screen. I updated to the latest (or what I think was the latest) version of android, but still no solution to this problem. I've done this before on other M8 boxes and they worked fine, but this is probably not an original M8, and that could be the reason why it can not be fixed using "standard" methods. If anybody has a solution I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you very much.

all the 5.0.8 are for amlogic s805....can you suggest me which one for my s812?
Sorry the accelerator is amcodec, my mistake
I'm not sure if the S802 and S812 use the same one. I think I read this thread that it works on both

The amlogic acceleration is the only one in this build I'm using it and its fine. Did you try to turn off the acceleration, cuz sometimes that can make videos actually run better

do your cpus work when you're watching a mkv or, like mine, they are stuck at 1/3% ? i think they should work if i'm using hardware acceleration watching a h265 movie.....

p.s.: do you have those missing codecs or it just works with the only one i saw (don't remember the name, i'm at work right now...)

Power off works fine. Remote is still suspend and power off is by command.

just my 2 cents about Openelec on a MXIII G n200 1gb-8gb: installed yesterday (downloaded from http://amlinux.ru/image/6.0.0/)
    PRO
Installed correctly, boot fast as the speed of light, remote recognized, openelec fast as usual, lots of configurations etcetc
    CONS
i've noticed the missing of Mediacodec and libstagefright from the Acceleration in video settings.... so, reading from an usb3 hd, the 1080p and h265s file are absolutely unwatchable (with kodi 15.2 on 106L1 firmware those files was almost perfect....
While watching a h265 file, the cpu where all around 1/3% usage
i'm not an expert, i don't know if the "problem" is the missing of those two codecs, but i sadly had to switch back to 106L1 firmware....

will these openelec ports work with an OTT EM8? they are the same specs as my original M8 S802, but the model on device is EM8.
