OK its just the venz tlbb v8 is advertising Openelec full MVC 3D support on their website. thought it might have been too good to be true.

DIRECT BOOT KODI Venz TLBB V8 4K runs latest OpenELEC 6 (Linux Kodi 15.2) and boots quickly+direct into Kodi 15.2. FULL 7.1 CHANNEL HD-AUDIO Unique amongst ARM OpenELEC boxes, 7.1 HD-audio (Dolby True-HD, Dolby ATMOS, DTS-HD MA) can be bitstreamed from Kodi. 3D BD-ISO AND BD-ISO Venz TLBB V8 will play 1:1 BD-ISO and 3D MVC BD-ISO rips in native Kodi. This is another feature unique to TLBB V8 amongst ARM Kodi boxes. EXPERIENCED SOFTWARE DEV TEAM Software development is crucial and this is where Venz excel. They are using elements of the TLBB team to deliver custom OpenELEC for ARM hardware. This team has several years experience with OpenELEC and Amlogic chipsets. No other product has this depth of experience with ARM OpenELEC.

Found it. I did a clean install and had to enable Avahi in the Openelec configration screen, and now also Airplay is working again

    Hi Blindseyed
i'm back with good news: i did not give up so i tried again and i solved the problem.
I just discovered (maybe everyone knew except me )in video settings that there is an option to set the refresh rate depending on the file properties.
i have a 5 years samsung tv and I just had Kodi forced to play all videos at 60mhz..... now that the refresh rate is "auto-adaptive", even the h265 are played wonderfully

    Thank you for the support.
