New 900supersport 1.1 cube U30GT H ROM

Received my Cube yesterday and flashed straight to this rom. Flashing was smooth & fast, and my Cube is working far better than I had even hoped for. So keep up the good work and thanks a lot 900Supersport!

I would simply refer you to your post #152 where your aggressiveness and personal insults began. I did not intend to insult you in any way -- just making a clinical observation. If my post bothered you, naturally you can see how your post 152 would bother others. I actually think you have some good experience to share and I hate to see that get muddled in an angry post. I have in fact wondered the same thing as you as far as how to actually determine what makes a USB cable either good or bad before I've used it and had it fail.
That being said, seeing someone bully someone else is where I draw the line.

My company exports tabs to several Latin American countries
I work directly with the factory that produces the Cube Tabs in China.


I am currently learning the firmware installation process at least 4 models Tabs (U30GT-H, U30GT-Mini, U18GT, U18GT2) and new models (U80GT, U80GT-Mini), my job is in part to test firmware, my department colleagues are responsible for designing systems and / or correct


900supersport im a big fan of all your work, actually when i've received Tabs from Cube, i use your firmware for testing and compare with the original firmware from cube, thank a lot for all your effort.


I have a question about the latest firmware and kernel 1.7 file:


Today i downloaded the cubeu30gth11c file, in it i found 2 kernel files, the kernel_1.7.img and the kernel.img (as i understand this last is the 1.6 by cube), which file should i replace with the kernel17.img.zip (3.2 meg) file?


I really appreciate!

The usb port on my CubeU30GT-H is broken so I'm unable to update the kernel.

I've released my ROM based on the 1.7 firmware from cube and included both the 1.6 kernel and the 1.7 kernel as I've had it reported that there have been problem booting my ROM from the 1.7 kernel.

I'd expect that if a tablet is already on the 1.7 firmware from cube that it should be possible to flash just parameters, boot.img, recovery.img and system.img and have a full 900supersport 1.1 ROM based on the 1.7 firmware. I'd have done this myself but for the broken USB.

If as you say, you are working directly with Cube can you request that they release the full source code to their jelly bean ROM?

Their are a great many people interested in further develop in this firmware but can't progress to much further without the source code.

I get your point, and i've been trying to get this source code but i dont really know if they have it, so far they are very jelous about ther own work.
Also my co-workers in the software department wants the source code information, i don't promise anything, but if i get something i'll put it online.

Yes indeed, i tried the 1.6 firmware and it worked just fine, when i tried the 1.7 I get just black screen.

I´d advice you to remove that kernel thing.
Too many people crash their Cube while trying to flash the new kernel.
It shouldn´t bee too long until 1.08 will be released and the new kernel doesn´t bring that much for the users.
I did flash it successfully as much as I know but I think less experienced users take too much risk without knowing.

As much as I understood you included a v1.07 kernel in the file but postet a new v1.07 kernel later on.
I downloaded that file, copied it into your flash DIR. An renamed the new file so it should be the kernel file to flash and that worked for me.

Maybe you can post the kernel info so I can check if I/others did good.

Choose the 1.6 kernel also included in the ROM kit.
